    Afternoon all.

I have been having a think. Can't remember who asked, possibly Skint Bint but I live in Monifeith but am from dundee, hopefully moving into dundee again when I can find a house i like in an area I want. The shop I supply is appointment only :( No room for gushing there. I had a theory about 4am this morning. Take decent pictures of a range of tiaras/necklaces/earings used a photo editing program to have prices added to the picture then use something like photobox to print out some picture books/albums and get some places to display them along with more business cards.

Also been thinking about adult type industries like txt operators and the like. Seems doable

I should point out that my reasons for doing this are mainly because I/we have debt that needs paid off. I hope to move house this year and we really really need more money than we currently have.

Anyone have a sewing machine?? do you realise how expensive it is to get duvet cover sets for junior/cot beds. Money to be made there I would say espeially if offering curtains and cushion covers too.

pixie - twas me - i'm just 12 miles along the road! if you are interested in sewing have you checked out Halley Stevensons material factory shop up the Blackness Rd? you should sell your house quick enough in Monifieth i would have thought. if i get any orders for wedding cakes i will just casually ask if they have done anything about their accessories!

hales/mmtwgr- can you update my total and add my commitments

1] list 20 items on ebay by sunday 10pm
2] make up proper photo album of cakes & make up some kind of planner
3] play BB 3 times (cant stand it but i'll just pre purchase and clear out)
    4] finish my ironing!

thats all i'm committing to this week as have lots of bits and pieces to get on with this week and 8 pagrs of this thread to read!

LilacPixie, do you have any thoughts on that? I sew and those would be quite easy to do. Do you think people would want specific characters or could I just make generic stuff and sell on Folksy, ebay etc?

Your right cake - we all have the whole week or month to turn green :D and even if we dont turn green we will have tried our hardest to and thats what counts.

I'm just glad I'm not red/green colour blind or this could get very confusing ;).

Hello folks, have been reading the thread constantly though I havent posted, I have revamped myfinances which added a BIG bit to my total!! I have changed my CC to 0% interest so will save about £60 per month, which will be £720 over the year and when checking my bank statements (yes I know I should do it every month but this is the first month I have!)I noticed Direct Line were taking £28 each month which was my old house policy, I renewed online and returned the policy thinking this would be enough and forgot about the D/D so have had £142 returned ... careless I know, and I have also sold odds and ends on ebay for about £90 clear once the expenses are deducted so in all just doing this challenge so I have has gained £952.
Its good to see that everyone is doing so well and now we are into the 2nd month the motivation should return......fingers crossed! i am off to order all my seeds as i am planning on doing carboots in the spring with bedding plants, and herbs. I am on the look out for cheap ceramic pots and will do mixed herb pots as a sideline too.

    Quick question.

My auntie etc have already said they will pay me to do there massages etc but chances are they will come to my house (mainly to see the baby) and purely because there nosey. Now technically if I do the massage in my house and chare for it, would I be in breach of my tenancy agreement. It states I can't run a business from the premises! Or does this more refer to if I actually turned the weans bedroom into a fully blown commercial salon? IFKWIM
Nikki, I used to work for a Housing Association and although "officially" you should adhere to your tenancy, it would only be if someone complained we would even realise. I think as long as you don't have streams of cars / deliveries in and out you should be ok. I find pleading ignorance and apologising quite good if you get caught!!!;)

Wow that took just under an hour's reading to catch up from last night! Well done everyone, it's great to see how motivated you all are. Here's my plan for the next couple of weeks for the board:

    - pack up everything for boot sale (evenings 7-8)
    - finish my book to the point i can contact the publishers (lunches 1-2)
    - start growing my plants for sale (by thursday)
    - publicise my barefoot book site and start selling stock (wednesday onwards)
    - sign up with another language school to have more regular students (by wednesday)
    - do some research into my dvd project (evenings 8-9)
    - give thought to how best to tap into a new local 'market' opportunity (ongoing)
    - revamp my reflexology business & build up client base (saturdays)
    - cooking for family members to earn extra cash (sundays)
    - do my mystery shopping assignments (as/ when required)
    - do leaflet drops while out walking (evenings/ weekends)

I'm desperate to do so much more, but need to hold myself back and get on with these to start - otherwise i'll end up overloading myself and achieving nothing! Here's to a great February everyone!! x
    Just £10,852.28p to go...
