What I guess I didn't realise at the time was that all my gossiping (because I had finished the work at breakneck pace) was hindering the other kids.
Did you not find other things to do? I used to read the text book or do other work if other people weren't already talking.
We had a tricky night last night - I had ended up feeding Izzy in the night a few nights in a row. Night efore last DH was ona at me to give in and feed her, and I couldn't stick up to oth of them so I did, telling him it would just make it harder for tonight. Which it did. Mega tantrum time and we even got a neighbour shouting "shut up" through the wall. Oops. Hopefuly it will e easier tonight - only took a few days last time, and we'e only had a little blip.
:grouphug: How rude of them. I wouldn't consider complaining to a neighbour about their baby crying as it's obviously going to be stressful enough if it's that bad without having someone complaining.

OH got up and got him :eek::eek::eek: He then put him to sleep in our bed.
:j That's great that he actually did something.

Beenie- Good luck, stay strong and don't take any crap!

Got rudely awakened at 6.20am this morning by BIL phoning OH. They lift share to work (OH an engineer and BIL an operator at same factory) they take turns driving and do shift work.
BIL was sitting outside in his car wondering where OH was! What a donut, they're not back on shift til tommorrow! ROFL!!

Beenie - good luck for today. I really hope your ex doesn't let you down and that everything goes ok. Stay strong whatever happens.

    Morning everyone,

Off to Kindermusik today then coffee with a friend then going to try and hunt down some vacuum storage bags for H's clothes. Just having a quick bite to eat before I go and get ready. What you all up to?

Oooh, I remember, NMS/SM/PP - enjoy your meet today!

ETA - It's a blizzard here! Only 1 hour to get showered and get us both ready and scrape the car. Better get going now.

You know, sometimes I think you ARE me!! A teacher once threw a board rubber at me. It didn't hit but it was in my direction and aimed 'at' me because I was talking (as usual!). I jumped up, stormed out of the class and straight to the headmasters office where I reported what had happened, demanded that my mother be called and informed the headmaster that I would not be going into that classroom until I and my parents had received an official apology from the teacher. I then proceeded to put a chair outside the teachers classroom and sit there (for a few lessons that week) until the teacher called my parents in and apologised to us all. :o
Then I went back to class.
Thing is, I was genuinely a good kid, just (not being patronising) a lot brighter than my classmates at that school. I was the only person in the school (including the year before me and the year after me) to achieve an A at GCSE, and I got 5...which was apparently way below my potential but I don't find it held me back
What I guess I didn't realise at the time was that all my gossiping (because I had finished the work at breakneck pace) was hindering the other kids.

:rotfl: I don't think my school would have let me get away with that, but I did find the work too easy and slacked a lot because I was bored. The head teacher told my parents she expected me to rebel and not to achieve my potential, to which I say a giant prrr.gif and show my bottom.
Oh, has SS got hers yet ?? Was it not the start of this week it was to arrive ??

It's here it's here it's here - it's a beige one and looks like it will absorb all manner of stains :rotfl: Still not put together because I can't see how and OH CBA last night. Very excited though.

    :rotfl:giddy kipper

I feel so sorry for that mummy MM, I can't imagine having to travel so far between babies.

7lb 3 was Molly's birth weight - how do you get one that big at 34 weeks?! I'm so glad it went well for her though.

:j for Poppie and continued vibes in her direction. It must be hard for your DD Tara, seeing other babies more sick and not doing so well.

Hello scruffy, where have you been? And can I get some of that fudge please? Just the thing for a healthy breakfast.

(OMG Molly has been grizzling nonstop for three days, I wish the teeth would just pop through and stop hurting her, my ears won't take much more and I can't keep giving her Calpol indefinitely)

Go Beenie - I hope it all goes off relatively peacefully and you can make him understand that he's not welcome back. We're here if you need us.

Gorgeous pictures elle - he looks so cute in his big boy cot :)

Ladybird, did you tell your neighbour to eff off?! I can't imagine shouting rude things at a crying baby. Our bastage neighbours and their four or five noisy big kids is another matter, but I tend to turn up at the door and hiss, The baby's sleeping!, at them rather than shout.

Well done Mr Glam... getting up in the night one time? Is it the sign of things to come?

Poor Charlotte, Becles. She's about old enough that she's dreaming now, isn't she? It might be a bit unsettling till she realises that the things that are happening aren't real.

    Enjoy your meet ladies :)

You're a nicer person than me, Susan - I did a lot of talking but also a lot of writing. I could have done much better at school but I knew that I needed 5 A*-C to do A levels and that so long as I did well in the subjects I wanted to do for A level and in maths I'd be fine and I could just work harder for my A levels so I didn't bother overmuch.

Meetings today and a screamy baby all night. ALL NIGHT. But I've been making OH's anniversary present - I've printed off loads of pictures and stuck them into a story book type thing that I made (paper anniversary, get it?!). And that and his make-your-own salami book will soon be ready to go. I used a marker by accident on the front so all the ink ran through and I'm going to stick an extra piece of paper over the marker bit telling him how happy I am that we got married. It's killing me though, I'm rubbish at keeping secrets and am pathologically incapable of lying so I keep turning to him and saying, Hey, when we... meaning, When we go on holiday we can go to the Hundred Acre Wood, or go to Arthur Conan Doyle's local, or or or... and then having to stop. He's finding it all hilarious but I am BURSTING WITH A SECRET.

SS - can you get the Ashton & Parsons powder? You could give instead of Calpol. It's £2.50 odd in Boots over here.

Sign of things to come??? Well, I did say that if J is still waking like this when I go back to work we'll have to take it in turns and he said 'Oh, I'll just get up with you' - didn't quite grasp what I was saying but a turning point none the less!

PERMISSION TO SET FIRE TO OH & BIL AND WEAR THEM BOTH AS SHOES (A PAIR :j)

OH's side of the bed is minging, used cotton buds, 4 empty deodrant cans, glasses, bowls & cups.
BIL keeps putting glass bottles in the bin knowing I RECYCLE!!!! He only has to leave them on the top and I take them out.

    Beenie,

    Thinking of you today.
Bookmark yesterdays posts to refer to if you need to. I've got a busy day ahead but you're welcome to pm me if you need to sound off to someone. I'll answer eventually. However, I have mine and Kezias fingers and toes crossed that today goes ok. Be strong.

I started writing a science fiction novel during my GCSE lessons. (It's embarrassingly rubbish but it occupied me.) I think I would have done better at university if I hadn't been learning how to work hard because I'd never really needed to previously. My mum actually complained to the school one year because I never had any homework.

Glam she's getting the tooth powders but they don't seem to be working as well ATM. I can see about eight teeth just lurking under her sore little gums :(

Start making BIL fish out and wash any glass he throws into the bin - preferably keep some nasty liquid waste on hand to cover the bottle before you ask him. He should learn pretty quickly...

Can't help you with the mess at the side of the bed. OH is the same :o I just tidy it and mutter furiously under my breath the whole time.

    How's Kezia doing Harley?

  • Morning all. Love the piccies Elle - is he still in your room?

We had a tricky night last night - I had ended up feeding Izzy in the night a few nights in a row. Chirpy cuttie girl this morning though. Anyway, best go get us both dressed and off to nursery. Have a good day everyone.

((HUGS)) ladybird. We have had a bad couple of nights too....just mega screaming when I go to leave his room. Hubby is supportive in a kind of 'leave him to cry for a while' kind of way but it breaks my heart and I cave in. All Benjamin seems to want to do is hold my hand. Last night when he eventually went to sleep he had put my hand under his head so I couldn't leave him and he knew I was there, bless him.
I know I have to be consistent and strong but I just hate the thought of Benjamin getting upset because he thinks I have left him (it is tough enough to leave him every day without having to 'leave' him at night too).

And hubby saying 'they all do it' is SO unhelpful - I don't give a flying monkey what any other kid does - I just care what MY BABY does :o
