Just caught up so a bit late with this stuff (been really busy on here tonight!!)
Fairy cake.
Bread rolls.
Buns are like GISI posted.
Duvet (although I too remember them being called Continental Quilts).
Doughtnuts or Ring Doughnuts to differentiate. Gravy? Weird!
Round of sandwiches – 2 slices of bread. 1 slice is half a sandwich.
A bap is possibly what a man might call 1 boob?!
A buttie would only ever be a chip buttie and could be bread or a roll `n’ chips.
A piece = A sandwich (although it only suits certain fillings in my opinion e.g. you would not have a piece and tuna salad)
Krystal - Loola Up – Tia had a Loola which is a bit different, so I have to say that it’s not difficult to push and it goes up pavements fine in parent facing mode! It does however have small wheels which feel a bit rickety on rough terrain and it’s not the best looking pushchair around. The basket is quite small if you to put a few bags in it. But it folds brilliantly and it is really easy to manoeuvre and is really good for the money.
Beenie – DO NOT TAKE THE A***HOLE BACK!!!! PLEASE! Anyone who could leave you to go through the pregnancy and early days of your baby is not worth taking a chance on. What a total loser. It’s unforgivable. And although Amber is too young to know any different, he is messing your precious son around as well as you. Get him out of your life for good. I am sorry if this sounds severe but I had to say it as I think you are far too good for him and just need more support. If you had more support from your friends/family etc. I think you would be stronger and would not consider taking him back!
Bruno – Hope you have a nice work trip and get a good sleep on Sunday night!0 -
Where is Scruffy btw? Has she been on recently and I have just missed her or has she been MIA too?0

Hi Fitz, i think you're right
I love that you tell me this, i need it. If i had a big circle of friends and family i wouldn't be giving him as much thought. I suppose i should make the most of the fact he's not here playing daddy, the fact he's 120 miles away means less confusion for everyone concerned!
I said i've done the hard part alone (well, as in the getting everything ready for her arrival, then sleepless nights, adjusting) and he was like, it's only 9 weeks.  </stabface>0 -
Elle - thanks, hope she is ok.
Beenie - glad you are not offended - clearly you can do whatever you want, but I hate to think of you falling for him if he is as bad as he sounds.
I thought everyone was ignoring me for a minute! Going to bed now. Catch up with you all another time. x0 -
He's like 2 different people, and i want to kill one of them
I'm gonna try and sleep before i start thinking i'm hungry. Need to be up early for a kids partyIt's far away, why have a kids party far away?? I need to be up and getting them ready by 8ish waaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh

Wooo! we have snow!!
Well it's a bit rubbish actually as I wanted us all to go out somewhere today as it's DH's only day off!
Beenie - you've come so far, I know it's really hard on your own, but I feel that you'd just be taking a step back and looking after 3 dependents again instead of 2, only to find yourself in the same situation in a few months. I hope you don't think I'm interfering, it's your choice after allSealed Pot Challenge #817 £50 banked0 -
My dad talks of 'stotties' but I don't think we've ever had them down here? But my Nan still makes her own pease pudding, in her old stockings.
I make pease pudding, but in the slow cooker, not stockings!
I have no idea what a savaloy is though?? I've hear that chant/song oi oi savaloy though :rotfl:
It's like a processed spicy sausage, bit like a frankfurter. They sell them in butchers and chip shops here.
It's freezing here this morning. My thermometer says it's -3.5°C in the garden. Was out with the dogs yesterday afternoon and it was clear and sunny, and it felt really warm. Was talking to a man and we were hoping it was the start of spring - guess not!
Got a plumber coming out this morning to give a quote on the bathroom for moving the toilet and pipes. The pipes in the bathroom are such a mess, we need professional help to sort it all out. Before we ripped stuff out, we had a sort of long wooden box going along behind the sink with the pipes in, so we are going to see if we can get them buried under the floorboards like in the other bathroom as it looks so much neater. Here I go again on my own....0 -
Weezl If you visit in the night, or first thing, as you do
, did you see MFD ask if Fergus might want the MSE PT musical happy birthday bib before Benjamin has it? If he does, pass my fairies your details.
3 that's very sweet of you, thanks
But I think I'm going to have my hands so full that I'll miss my window on getting it to Benjamin, and I know MFD would like it, so I'd like Benjamin to get it in plenty of time
MFD the very first thing you ever said to me on the parent thread was to challenge me to a race, do you remember?!

I think xmaslolly might be from Dudley but I might have made that up!
bad night again - ended up giving him a bottle at 5.30am. Might go back to the dream feed because maybe he's not getting enough during the day.
wasn't drunk last night after my bottle of wine but I have such a bad head!
We have snow! Will now have a whole day of 'If it snows anymore we can't go to work' I hope it goes because I have plans with Sami tomorrow!A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea
