I remember my midwife with DS1 telling me that screaming and moaning would just tire me out and make things take longer, so I didn't scream for that reason!0

Plus she was kicking off about lunch, but she had food in her bag she could have eaten. See, I am mean!Any question, comment or opinion is not intended to be criticism of anyone else.2 Samuel 12:23 Romans 8:28 Psalm 30:5

Yeah I was told that if I was screaming or moaning then I wasn't putting all my energy into pushing! I was the quietest person in the delivery suites :rotfl:(makes a change)A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea
Where does the time go? :think:0 -
I was the loudest in the delivery rooms
They kept telling me to be quiet :rotfl: What can I say, I'm a vocal person.
Was embarrassed on the ward though as some woman recognized me from my screaming, she had seen me go into that room, and said "Oh I could hear you!"

And we now have safe electrics!! Woohoo!!!
Turns out all the wiring was loose, so FIL and BIL and DH have now tightened it all up and we have a spiffy new fuse box
No transformer outfit though
Boys room has been tidied (still to be hoovered), 2 bin bags of rubbish. Kitchen has been decluttered in one corner and a cupboard. af arrived so I feel much less psychotic too0 -
When I was in labour ward with Ds2 (initial admission with the PE) I was in the obs ward and next door I heard a commotion. This woman being screamed at that she needed a section and she needed it now sign the damn paper and the woman screaming back 'it's OUT! it's OUT!' 2 midwives and a doctor and only after you heard a wee mewl did they think to actually check! And yes, baby was out, completely out lying on the bed! They they all shouted 'we have a baby!' I was speaking to her later on about it and told her how I felt like shouting 'welll DUH!!!!'0

Thats funny tia!
I was out my face once they gave me the gas & air and morphine or whatever it is they inject you with, and OH told me I was shouting and screaming stupid things.
Apparently I had shouted that this must be what it's like having sex with Ron Jeremy (for people who don't know, Ron is a !!!!!! star with a massive weenie)
This is probably why all the midwives were mean to me, because I said innapropriate things, but hey ho, they almost killed me so it evens the score.0 -

my neighbour and I both had home births, hers 3 months earlier than mine.
We didn't hear Mel, the neighbour at all, but at 3.45 am did hear that little newborn mewl that Tia just described as Meirian entered the world.:A
Fast forward 3 months, Fergie being born. Mel the neighbour has heard me so loud and clear that she had been and got the congratulations card 6 hrs before Fergus' head crowned:o:o:o
even more embarrassingly, Meirian was back to back and Ferg was OP:o:o

Don't be embarrased Weezl, you were making warrior sounds for Fergus, it will make him strong and tough ugga ugga
Contractions felt like really bad wind to me, and I HATE gut cramps (I'm like fergus, rare bowel movements but lots of stuck windy pops!)
I hear people feel pain in different areas? Mine was mostly in my guts, utter agony! I actually found pushing Keira out very easy, but I was zonked out with drugs before that, I just remember shooting up in the bed (I kept falling asleep between contractions apparently) and saying "I NEED THE TOILET" the midwife said "Number 1 or number 2" I said "Number 2, help me up please" She said "No that's the baby, push when I tell you" I said "No I really think It's a poo" she said "Push" So I did, and Keira popped out, with a poo!
Told her I needed a poo!0
