Beenie- what rate has DS got on his? I bet it's way more than you could get on Amber's.
Sami- no idea how you'd swap. I didn't even know you could.
I'm watching Jon and Kate plus 8! I love it but I'm sad they've split up.:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0 -
weezl if you are making cakes for anyone then they should be for you
when i had Charlie a neighbour brought me in a bag and it had teabags, flat juice, biscuits, crisps, sausage roll, well fired rolls, cold meat and bacon(there were other things but cant remember!) i thought it weas the best thing i had ever been given and thought it was really kind and thoughtful. was great to be able to just have a few bits to grab on the go!

Did they mention when it's closing? (do we think they'll be selling off stock for cheap)
Glam - do you fancy toys r us followed by ikea & hotdog?:D
Of course, let me know when
I've just walked up there because OH saw SS's post & wanted to look at boys toys but I wasn't really paying much attention to what was there.
just eating a chicken burger with cheese and reggae sauce on - nomnomnomnom
Jars - I use jars for variety. The amount of money I spent on fruit and veg the other day and the effort spent making purees I do think the jars work out cheaper and less effort!
Bills - I get paid last day of the month and 90% of the bills go out the same day - so I know whatever is left is for food and fuel. I got locked out of my internet banking for 6 weeks so didn't check it - I was £400 overdrawn
Jillie - great news you've got it booked! :jA very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea
Where does the time go? :think:0 -
I mostly fed Jars, I wish I hadn't tbh because I reckon Keira not getting proper textures and tastes is part of the reason why she is so fussy and just wants to eat bland and sweet crud!
Well actually, she only got weaned on jars and the breakfast packets, then she'd maybe get a jar for tea and the rest of the time it was lazy feeding (I think its called BLW nowadays) I'd just cut up cheese/apples/toast/veg sticks and leave her too it.
I still remember when she was about 9months, she toddled over to my plate and grabbed beans off my plate and just started stuffing them in her chops :rotfl:
She was walking at 9months, crawling at around 6/7. I honestly think the baby walker is what helped strengthen her legs so she could walk, that thing was fab, she could follow me but would get wedged half way in the kitchen which was good so she wasn't totally in the way when I was cooking, and I'd just put some toys on the tray or some food and she'd be happy as larry.0 -
 I've just unpacked our living room pictures and discovered I have 19 frames plus two which were in the kitchen. I had totally forgotten we had so many.searching_me wrote: »just paying bills .. dont you hate it that the moment you get paid you have all your bills to pay and its like you never got paid in the first place *sigh* xGenealogists.. any suggestions on a starter kit/book/set? Am thinking of asking my Grandma to help with the family tree on my mum's/her side (my dad's already started his side) and it's her birthday soon so I was thinking of some kind of starting point to wrap up, iyswim
CTF - we went for an "ethical" shares one so only had a choice of two I think. One of them gave Mothercare vouchers if you set up a direct debit so did that one (and cancelled DD after one payment). If we ever get above the "poverty" line, I would top up ones who didn't get the extra money with the equivalent amount but other than that I'm not too worried about them being the same as there are too many unpredictable variables. Last time we had a statement it was worth less than when it started.(But I know there's plenty of time for it to recover and it's all free money anyway.)

Can you get text alerts? We're with Lloyds TSB and they will do a weekly text mini statement so I have it set up so I get one on Fridays and OH gets one on Mondays. Sometimes there are gaps if there are a lot of transactions but if we don't have interent I tell OH to get a mini statement from the cashpoint every time he uses it.
No, I'm with A&L and I always forget to check at cashpoint
I kinda knew I would be overdrawn because I hadn't been able to transfer money from my maternity fund account but thought it would be £200 max!A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea
