Sami - I've got red/black (liquorice) the only other choice was fudge, decided on red and black due to DH's preference for a particular football team!

The Baptism families in my church are asked to be at the church for 11.15 for the service to begin at 11.45, they are given tea/coffee and biscuits whilst they wait.

The minister split the service in 2 so the older members of the congregation get a traditional service and then can leave, then the Baptism service can be a bit more contemporary.

Night everyone - work again tomorrow.

    I am raging mad.

My Tesco order was supposed to come between 8pm-10pm, by half 10 I phoned. Promised it would be with me.

NO IT ISNT, so I phoned the store where they come from and ALL the vans are back and my food is presumably in the back.

It's a good job I found a nappy in Keira's toybox. I had to go to the garage and buy overpriced cat food too.

We had no dinner either, unless spaghetti flippin hoops on toast count.

    ARGGGGHHH

Bleugh I feel sick :( I've been awake most of the night feeling like I'm gonna throw up, really could crawl back into bed, but I can't as there's already 3 people off sick in my team  Maybe I should barf on my team leaders feet and then I'll get sent home :rotfl: if all else fails I'm leaving at 3.30 today!

Hope everyone is OK? ((hugs)) to those who want/need them.

What's wrong with this picture? It's 7.30am and I'm the only one in the office. I must be mad  I suppose it'll help to build up flextime though. Roll on Saturday morning and my lovely long lie in :D

Hope you feel better soon wi3dora *hugs*

I've got to go covert price collecting for work, by having a dictaphone hiddin in my clothing and mumbling prices into it. However I've got a really sore throat. Hope my voice holds out!
Here I go again on my own....

    Get well vibes wi3 :)

We're off to Magna this morning, just doing our pack-up. Using my clubcard reward vouchers so a nice little freebie!

Becles Josh would love to come with you for that - he loves playing secret agents, he'd feel just like a spy!

Sami - get the pram!! I'm debating on getting a surround sound, it's only 50 quid but DH wouldn't be very pleased if I bought it :(

  • Morning all. Poor you Wi3dora :( Much as barfing on your boss sounds tempting, it might not work ver well as a long term career move ;)

I'm imptiently waiting to hear back about my interview last week - they were seeing more people yesterday, so we were crossing our fingers that everyone they talked to yesterday was rubbish ;)

Busy day today - going to one of my Mummy friends for coffee at 11, then to my parents for lunch at 12 (we are not the only ones going for coffee, or I'd feel a bit rude - said we would pop in for a little bit to see everyone though :) ).

And DH has just texted me to say that our Blooming Marvellous is having a closing down sale, and I need some more nursing bras (I've been managing with 2 for a year, which is crazy.... I don't know why I didn't go and get myself a few more, as the only reason I only got 2 was that I didn't want to buy more than that at one time!) so hopefuly I can pick up a bargain. That might have to wait until tomorrow though.

Anyway, best go get the washing hung out and another load on. The fun never stops around here ;)

  • Beccles I keep meaning to ask who you work for (if you are allowed to say) ... do you work for a particular store, and go check prices in competitors, or is it somewhere that does comparisons?

if anyone is interested, physios are not overly concerned at a baby not sitting with support untill they are 10 months !!
And even then it doesn't automatically mean there's a problem - my OH didn't sit till 11 months but there weren't any problems.
Think im a naughty mommy ive put my bubs quilt on his cot as it gets so cold in the night (house gets very dry so we have to leave the window slighty open). He hates sleeping bags and just wont sleep in them at all probably because he is so big and he likes to be able to kick lots. I've still got him at the bottom of the cot though and the quilt gets folded under the mattress there is probably more of it under than there is over.
If you're tucking it in then it's just like a very thick blanket. I think the issue is if they are using a quilt the way we would use one as then they could get under it which would be dangerous.

Yes, I agree with you and that is why I'm leaning towards a HB if we do have another one. Do you think you'll go for a HB in future?
Yes! I was considering having an Independent Midwife but will probably go for NHS homebirth with a doula.
Actually - has anybody ever read the paper that is referenced in your red book?
'Postnatal wright loss in term infants: what is normal and do growth charts allow for it'.
No but presumably it is about the fact that it is common to lose weight initially but that is not shown on the charts? (My HV was astonished when she weighed Alice at ten days thta she had gained 6oz.)
