Phew - I know my observation skills aren't the greatest but I was getting a bit worried.

    hmm, just musing again.
SS, PP how do your OH's feel about their age and being daddies?
PP yours has older ones already doesn't he? does that change things?
It's hard for me to imagine being a 50yo new parent seeing as my parents were 50 when Chris was born and IL's both turn 50 this year and they are all shattered after looking after Chris for a day or so

hope that doesn't sound critical because it's not intended to :)
I think 50 is (currently) around my OH's limit for having more children but I don't know whether it is because of how he feels about it or what he thinks other people will think. I think Bruno talked about how old he might be for the final child a while ago and said it was more about how old he would be when they reach adulthood than about how old he would be when they were little.

Weezl I'd go with some cartons, do you usually have some clean bottles about anyway that you can chuck in last min?
I'd put a change of clothes in and bibs and does he have snacks like cereal bars?

Will they need to use the bottle more than once and if so, would they need to sterilise it? If so, would be worth making sure they know what/how to do it. Have you written down info about when/what he usually does (e.g. rough timing of naps/feeds and how much he usually eats and how long he usually sleeps for) just so they have a rough idea what is normal for him. Also any particular things he finds comforting such as singing a particular lullaby or a special toy?

There are nearly four years between us (OH-1979, me-1983), but we have a very similar outlook so have never really felt there was an age gap.
