Ah yes..
Morphine all the way here!
Mind you, not sure if you get that with a planned no-probs section where I'd obviously want to BF straight after..
I had morphine with DS2 because it was an emergency one, but I didn't breast feed for a few days due to being asleep and all.
With Amber I had one dose of morphine along with the spinal then volterol for 2 weeks. But I did recover scarily quick with Amber and was walking up and down to special care the next day after being up and dressed for 8am to go get ma scran (aka breakfast, I was STARVING!). However, I missed one volterol because I was at SCBU (they didn't tell me if I missed it I couldn't get it again till next time, 8 hours later!). I did that ONCE and clock watched from then on to make sure I was there to get it! Those things are amazing!
ETA, I didn't feel no afterpains with AMber but did with DS2. I'm now wondering if I wasn't on good enough pain releif after DS2. I was in Agony for so long, couldn't get out of bed without crying for almost 2 weeks.0 -
Speaking of Amber, I'm a terrible mother who has given her the last 1oz of her milk in her crib. She is in there on her little pillow holding her own bottle due to the screaming. She won't let me hold her bottle anymore, she's a big girl now you know.0

They will request your notes from previous pregnancy. Will then look through them to see reason for section. Just to see if it will be possible for you to have a VBAC. Will then reasure you that you can try for VBAC or request to elective. They will send you away with various leaflets on both options, so you can make an informed choice.0 -

With my sections I had obviously the spinal while they did it.. one took so long as there was so much damage to repair I had a 'top-up' of morphine when I was able to feel them cutting my insides and stitching stuff back together... once I escaped from theatre I had nothing at all.. didn't see what the fuss was about TBH..
I did have to have a catheter put back in though as they had caused swelling putting it in the first time so I was swollen shut and couldn't pee.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
