ETA and no not putting your foot in it at all. I will be writing a birth sroty soon (before I forget it all) and will be including all the gor details in there!! But feel free to ask away, I'm finding it therapeutic to speak about it at the moment to be honest as it was totally not what I had planned!
Alfie is so gorgeous! You must be over the moon. We also have that gorgeous snowsuit but unfortunately Henry hates it!
Sorry to hear that your birth wasn't quite to plan, and definitely do talk about it or ask questions on here. It definitely does help.
I am currently making the lovely Weezl's Onion Tart in a cake tin, so who knows how if it will ever come out the tin! We're having it with roasties as a mid-week treat.:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0 -
SM, olive oil is great for getting rid of lice, completely soak the hair in it an it suffocates them, as you comb it through they just slide right out... Aimee's always catching them, her school is rife... She always goes with her hair tied back and dowsed in tea tree oil but it makes no difference...A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Had a surreal moment today, when I thought that one or two of the more outspoken MSE posters might live in my area :rotfl:
Took Edward to the paediatrician who thinks he still isn't putting on weight as he should be, so adjusted his meds but also told us to start him on solids from today, on baby rice to start off with, followed by veg and fruit in the old fashioned weaning way. As he's only 4 and a half months, I hadn't got anything in, so stopped off to buy provisions on my way home, when I was waylaid by a complete stranger in the queue to pay, who asked how old he was and proceeded to harrangue me about the evils of weaning before 6 months . Do you think its possible to get a T-shirt printed to say something along the lines of "Please look after your own children and leave me to look after my own as I see fit"
Anyway, the young man has taken to solids in a big way, and managed a huge bowl of babyrice this afternoon. He was so enthusiastic I thought he was going to bite the spoon in half!
...wanders off now to dig out the Annabel Karmel books to plan his meals for the next week...0 -
Everyone has gone to itch their heads! Why does the mention of nits make you do that.
L's school was horrendous in reception up to year 2. She'd get them every other week although her hair was in tight plaits and stinking of tea tree oil.
Shes been clear for a while now, I think they're less huggy when they're a bit bigger (plus the untreated kid left to share her nits at a private school):beer:0 -
Evening all,
SJ Alfie is super gorgeous x
Nicki glad he enjoyed his baby rice and some people make me so
Krystal me likey that strollerCan I have one too?
SM have you tried a few drops of tea tree oli in a spray bottle with conditioner mixed in sprayed onto Zoe's hair before school?
Enjoy your tart GISI
Erm I have probably just missed her but where is Weezl? And MFD? Hope your both ok xx
GRRRR  Put my washing machine on earlier and have come home to it without power. I changed the fuse and it came on then blew straight away. I wouldnt mind but its 13 months old and my last washing machine was 13 months old when I had to get rid of that because it wasnt repairable
