  • Help: DH work are being t0ssers and making him change hours which is really going to muck up my childcare calculations eg for new job which may even cost me to work. I've been trying to use entitledto to owrk out what tax credits would be based on my salary over differnt hours per week combinations with the possibilty of decreasing his hours etc but keep getting different results on the same info! Any ideas of something else to use? Or do I put the income he is getting for tax yr 08/09 with projected figures/hours in 09/10 or do i leave 08/09 blank?? (insert very confused/angry/fed up/need everything to just work smiley here)

Claire you could try phoning the script monkeys and ask if they can tell you what you'd get not sure if thts any more acurate than enttled to though.
    isn't there a HMRC calculator?

i did our calculations on the hrmc calculator. using 09/10 instead of 08/09. then whatever it gave me for the rest of this financial year i divided by the amount of weeks left till 05 april and then multiplied by 52 to give me the totals. not sure if its the right way or not but it says at the introduction to use 09/10 figues if you want.
i used 08/09 figures to check agaisnt what we are currently getting and it was about £5 out a week

its not hours you work as such. you can work upto 60 hours between you both to get the best entitlement

i also noticed that the more i earnt didnt mean we were any better off. think we were £30 better of a month with me working full time than part time.
