I had a strange moment earlier (just the one).
16yo went to the cinema with her friends and she dressed up a bit and when she was ready to go and came in the room I was in, I just stared and she wondered why I was looking so odd, and I had to explain to her that when you see someone every day, you don't always notice the changes in them. She's not a little girl anymore, she's turning into a young woman and it hit me that I may not have long until she's talking about moving out with someone. She's single at the moment, but like all my girls who are old enough to think of boys, she's a bit popular and one day she's going to like someone back. I hope and pray she doesn't move as fast as her dad
Sorry my first post of the day isn't very interesting.
I hope everyone is well and have had a nice day with their younglings.0 -
Hi Tia,
No I was induced early and about 12 hours later my placenta abbrupted (? spelling) and I lost over 3 pints of blood had an emergency c-section and then had to have an iron IV for 2 weeks as my iron count went down to 7.6, which I understand is quite low.
Not quite the water birth I was hoping for, and combined with my waters leaking from 32 weeks I would like some reassurance about why all of this happened, and if my body could cope with pregnancy/ childbirth again.
I would like to do it again as until 32 weeks I had such an easy time and loved being pg, but if I can't do it again we would definitely look to adopt as I want at least 2 bambinos (preferably 3)
Aww huni, I had an abruption with DS2 (story over on the birth story thread).
The risk of another abruption is pretty low thankfully. They can scan you regulary, think about an elective c section (I really didn't want one but changed my mind once the pros and cons were explained) And look at me, I went on to have Amber with no pre eclampsia and no abruption after being tld to terminate her because it would all go wrong. We did decide to have an elective section though, decided it was the safer option especially after an emergency c section. Was completely different.
Deffinately speak to someone for a de-breifing, it's rough and you won't be able to move on until you do. And my PM box is open0 -
Confusingly I was due tomorrow, but got induced at 37 weeks exactly, aparently that was safer then leaving her to cook a little longer.
So glad she is here safely with no apparent ill effects of what happened over the last 8 weeks
Sorry that things didn't go to plan hun. We are here if you ever need to chat.
Had you finished work already? I remember we worked in the same industry!newmoneysaver wrote: »Yes, with my mystery guest

NMS, tigger is so cute!!!
Weezl, sorry, I did see and forgot to reply. Thank you, and I got an unconditional acceptance top be confirmed in writing in April. just got to work out the finances now, and crapping myself at the big scary sciencey stuff. But, I don't know that much chemically, the chemistry was only int2 level. I do remember it though
Oh and weirdly today was the first time I missed being pregnant. Standing back in the college hall, listening to my old chem tutor droning on, I suddenly felt like Amber should be kicking me!0 -

Aw, I'm sorry to hear you had a difficult time. I don't really have anything useful to add, but I do hope you can get some answers. I know this has been discussed over the past few days, have you manage to write your birth story? others have said it has helped0
