glam thats what i didnt like ... people dont have to be fluffy .. being themselves is good enough for me x

I don't think people need to be fluffy, but at the same time some sort of awareness that other people have feelings and can be hurt is always nice.

I wouldn't flat out tell someone I thought they were being a bad parent. If they were asking for advice I'd give my opinion - but if they were already engaged on a course of action and didn't want advice or opinions then I wouldn't see it as my place to comment. Sometimes I think we can all forget that a discussion about parenting methods can actively upset someone who's doing things in the way we say we don't like.

IIRC, MrsT stopped posting in here because she made some comments about people having babies very close together right after a couple of pregnancies were announced. I was a bit upset on behalf of the pregnant ladies because their happy news was overshadowed by a debate on babies in quick succession that it would have been very hard not to take personally. But everyone has their opinions and so long as they're not making personal attacks then vive la difference. Or something.

Do you think I can buy my baby a pink plastic purse? That would definitely cheer me up!! And when hubby is not talking to me I can go see Lee Mack :D

There is a tool bag version available if you're worried about how macho he'll look with a pink purse containing a lipstick rattle and a bracelet. ;)

I remember when we took Josh to see Santa when he was 3, he was choosing his toy afterwards and chose a shopping basket! He loved nothing more than going to see my grandma with his shopping basket and beads round his neck!

He's now on to Lego and SpongeBob!

I did because I thought it was a bit pointless to contribute to an-already pointless debate.

But your jokes help make it funny :D

    *judges you* :p:p

I use cloth ones because we live up four flights of stairs and the thought of dragging a baby and a sack of her poopy nappies up and down every day makes me go _pale_.

I do use disposables when we go out though - because in that situation dragging the baby and her pooped-in reject nappy also makes me go _pale_.

Anyway, in addition to yesterday's Public Service Announcement suggesting that nobody ever visit Lyon because it is hilly and full of people who tried to steal my purse, we have today's PSA: If it is 5:30pm, don't send me additional work that needs to be completed ASAP. I don't know if you got the memo, but since I had a baby I became a clockwatcher. You can have 8.5 hours of my day - but no more.
