basically his work is refusing to pay PL as hes hasnt booked it (well dur he could plan this) and has been told if he wants it to take the forms in to work filled in to be sent off to be paid or hes pretty much screwed fo money for the next 2 weeks ...
we know this is wrong but they need the info x
Sorry SM but I don't know what you mean?
He is not getting PL or He is getting it but he needs to fill in a form?
ETA if its the latter then his employer is perfectly entitled to ask him to fill in a form I'm afraid

Gah - Hubby and I were supposed to be going to see Lee Mack on Friday and I had my SIL on standby in case hubby wasn't up to it.
Hubby texted and said I should go with SIL and he would get other SIL to sit with him and Benjamin.
So, like the dutiful wifey that I am, I texted back to say that I think I might want to stay at home and be with him instead...
...and he texted so say I should get the tickets on ebay ASAP
Gah - way to backfire

:rotfl: Sorry for laughing
Tell him they're not even going for the cover price at the moment so you'll bring him back a Tshirt.
Yay for Poppie!!
I'm so relieved about the insurance, but still have to find out what's going on and see what the story is about emergency leave from work. Hmph.
About PL - if he already has the forms he should ask if he can fax them before (recorded) sending the originals. It's unrealistic to expect him to leave the baby to go into work. Unless he has to go into work to get them in which case he may as well fill them in there and leave again.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

Its just a mother and baby group for babies up to 12mths. Its run by the HV's, you get tea and scones and stuff yum yum.
They bring the scales every week for the ones who don't go to baby clinic on a Thursday.
Massage is tomorrow and I've found a new group to try on Wednesday where you get bacon rolls for breakfast!!!
I forget people can't read my mind lol
I'd be going to a group you can get bacon rolls in :T
We went to talk about contrception with a nurse which was quite helpful but think we may just stick to condoms at the mo. As a bonus she did my smear test and gave me loads of free condoms
I have left a pile where DH will see it when he gets home

Not sure what is up with Tegan today shejust seems to be sleeping, not sure whether or not to wake her as worried she won't sleep tonight. But maybe she has a cold too and this is her way of dealing with it??! Will leave her till 4 then seeTegan Lily arrived 4 November 2009 (3 days late)

SS - I hope your hubby is okay. Good news about the insurance though. Will they cover further care if he needs it (like now?)?
Angela - you big softie
It's saddened me that new Mums are scared to join us. And that we're seen as a dictatorship and fluffy!:rotfl:It is, and this time my mother's not going to offer her help...
I'm saddened by it too, TBH, and at the same time bewildered a bit at how a dictatorship can be fluffy.
I don't think I can go and read at the moment. RL is tough enough without IL getting depressing too. Why can't everybody just be happy and well and live in harmony?
Do you think I can buy my baby a pink plastic purse? That would definitely cheer me up!! And when hubby is not talking to me I can go see Lee Mack

Apparently Alex has been asleep at MILs for most of the day. Well he would wouldn't he, seeing as he kept us all awake most of the night. Thats it i'm packing his bags and he can go live there. See how they like the 1,2,3,4,5,6 am alarm calls

Hugs to SS for her poorley OH. And to MM, hope your first day wasn't too bad.0 -
Hugs to all with ill OH's
I haven't read it -do some people think that the parent thread is a fluffy dictatorship???? On here people offer different views so you can go away and make your own decisions. There is such a mixture of people on here and you are all so supportive with whatever is going on in other's life IYSWIM. Lord knows how many questions I have had since Tegan was born and everyone offers different experiences which you then go away and try and then make your own decision. Hope this makes sense.Tegan Lily arrived 4 November 2009 (3 days late)
