Susan the breastfeeding gmtv thing is on their video player http://www.gm.tv/videos/?vxClipId=1441_gmtv_8179

the MW's body language is confusing me, she's a regular on tv and I don't recall ever having seen her look so uncomfortable before...
The one who was against it, her main objection seemed to be harm to teeth. She reckoned that giving them breastmilk makes them like sweet things. Don't really believe that considering that on the odd occasion that we do give Alice something like cake she usually rejects it.

  • Thanks feelie. It's lovely to see you trying the groups. Some of the groups I went to finished over christmas and I haven't found anything to replace them with, but I am back at work in 4 weeks so not really worth seeking out new ones. Tomorrow we are meeting DH for his lunch break and not much else.

Oh, and glad to hear the nanny went well!

My ambition is to meet all of you's. Soon it'll go from five to hopefully 9 or more! I've met two other non-parents thread MSE'ers too.

you've all provoked an interesting debate here :) me and DH would like to add that we think there's a distinction between a troll as BnB are saying this woman is and a 'fake internet persona'.

I think a troll would almost always post to create trouble.

The other kind, the fake persona might be someone using the internet to have a chance to live a life they'd never normally have chance to live.

I think that by lying to new friends she would have caused problems, and also it's deceptive to post pictures that aren't your baby.

But apart from those two acts, maybe she was just someone having an opportunity to have a different life via the internet...

    Dunno, just a thought.

Feel free to challenge/disagree, I'm up for a robust debate.:)

Hmm, I don't have proof - you'll just have to believe me for now. I guess if I posted a picture of me and Alice with the pillowcase you sent that would prove I am real.

Weezl I guess whether they are troll or not probably depends on their intention. If they are faking as building a fantasy for themself then that is not really like a troll but if they are doing it as a parody or to mock people or to gain people's trust for some other purpose than that would be a troll.
