I did wonder if i could do that, i put 5oz in the bottle and left the rest in the carton. Not sure now after seeing what Maz wrote though. I'm sure if i microwaved it for 10 mins it'd kill anything nasty :p  :rotfl:

Sorry didnt mean to confuse you, if I used part of a carton then the rest would go in the fridge and I'd use within 24 hours... I always thought FF in a bottle had to be used within an hour but it nows says 2 hours on the packet.

ack, was planning on going to clinic this morning to get Finn weighed, but...it's snowing! Garrrrr...if it lets up to a drizzle, I might still go with the pram, but I really didn't want to lug that thing around a 2 mile round trip...poop!

eta: here's a thought...do I need to bother, since we have a GP appt on Fri (do they weigh them there?)? Mainly I just wanted to get baby group, boobie clubs, etc details. We can go tomorrow, but I wanted to go swimming so didn't need 2 treks out of the house!

Jenny - Balham Leisure Centre do parent & baby swim time on Tues afternoons from 2 -3:45pm. I know you were asking about swimming! Tomorrow will be my 1st time so I can report back if it's nice :)

Thanks Elle, she's back to reasonable levels of health again for now :o although Elijah was very red-cheeked and snotty this morning so maybe he is back on a downward path... fingers crossed...!

I am amazed at your early rise! :T

SS - if I were you I would call your mum with the sole purpose of asking her if she deleted your hubby. If she did I would hang up on her and then ponder my next move. Our parents are our parents but they should still show us and our partners respect. xx

I agree, and I'm sorely tempted. At this point, it seems that after what happened before and over Christmas there's little point in taking care of her feelings since she seems to have no regard for mine. But she's also far more passive-aggressive and more likely to hold a grudge and I'm loath to cut ties entirely. I just don't see a way to force-fix the relationship and I'm devastated once again that she'd be so obviously partisan. My grandmother hated my father, but never let it affect her relationship with his kids - but we lived in the same place. It's not the same for us, and if she refuses to respect my husband then she's not welcome here, we won't go there and she won't see Molly.

She finally fell asleep with me stroking her face in her basket (what she didn't realise was i was stroking her eyelids shut).

Genius. Molly's figured that out, damn her smart little brains :rotfl:

MFD I had no idea your husband was so bad. I hope he's getting better quickly, and :rotfl: at cornish pasty tummies.

Jenny, re Easyjet - they don't make allowances for infants any more, so you'll need to buy the baggage allowance. Priority boarding is only any use if there's no bus to the plane - when there's a bus the priority people hop on and get a seat in the bus but are then last into the plane anyway. And they're obliged to let families with children sit together, so if necessary they can move people. The big thing is the space between the seats, but it makes very little difference because an infant can't sit at the emergency exit seats so you just have to all squish up or the two of you choose an empty aisle and sit with a space between you and a ton of baby stuff on it so the seat will only be filled if the flight is full.

I think Easyjet have a bag-size rule - if you can lift it into the overhead locker you can bring it on regardless of weight, so long as it's the appropriate size. I'm not sure what their procedure is with carseats but buggies are gate check.

    YAY!! for Poppie!!

I think I'm going to search out this BF/FF thread.

Beenie, big hugs for you and a smack in the head for your neighbours. Enjoy booby group.

PP ... a prize of a boob job? I wonder how many clueless men are entering in the hopes of surprising their girlfriends with it as a Valentines gift? :rotfl: I keep seeing displays of Olay etc under "appropriate gifts for women" type banners and wondering if there are any men that clueless. Happy Valentines Day, lovely girlfriend. Your face is looking a bit crinkly. Here's something to fix it.

Morning everyone :) What a lovely day it is... or something. I'm really sickly-feeling, tempted to actually go to a doctor I'm feeling so rotten. Lots to do today, or at least to try to get done before OH goes to the doctor/back to the hospital. I'm going to make a list. That'll help... if anyone's feeling curious it will be on the organised mums thread shortly :)

Edit: Ladybird I have left her a wall post. You're AJT, right?

I'm not sure how (assuming you're following guidelines which mention nothing about how long after sterilising it is ok to use a bottle) making a fresh sterilised bottle up and then cooling/warming it to correct temp is more convenient than lifting top and lowering bra though :p

btw the debate on that thread has seriously upset at least one person care about :(

If you mean me don't worry, I'm thick skinned :)

I would like to thank those who turned it into the Super Bad Mummy Club - making it lighthearted cheered me up before bed :D

I've got seven weeks before my KIT days start... at some point, I will relearn how to wake up to an alarm clock ;) Another advantage to putting Rhys in his own room - I can have my alarm clock back on!

Talking of babies in own rooms, did Glam tell us how Jack was last night in his big boy room? :)

I have no idea how to change a tyre either..

He was the same as normal :( No miracles unfortunately and last night has been the worst night in ages! :(:(:(

He woke up at 3am, really screaming so I settled him and out him in our bed. He then woke at 4.30am and was screaming again - took him downstairs, he took 4ozs of a bottle, changed his nappy and gave him some teething gel. Put him in his cot at 5.30am - slept for an hour before screaming again. Came in our bed, woke at 8.15am screaming again. Has had a while 2ozs of a bottle. Seems happy enough now but I am so worried - we are talking major screaming fits so bad he is going hoarse from crying so much.

Going to put him back on the Stage 1 Comfort milk in case its his tum, start giving him Gripe Water again and drop back to 2 meals a day just pureed fruit and veg and see if that helps.
A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

Where does the time go?
