OH is now talking to Molly in Icelandic.
How confusing. And very random - does he have Icelandic family or did he just randomly learn it?
I know this is going to sound a bit silly, but in the last few weeks, i just keep getting an urge to go to church, then DS1 gets placed into a CofE school, and now he says he wants to go on SUnday, do you think it's a sign lol
Doesn't sound silly and you've got nothing to lose by going.
Ok i'm on a housing mission!
I think the local council here are trying to save their stock and are giving alot of false information to women in refuge.
I'm on a crusade to get into housing band A as a priority as I'm legaly homeless and was forced to give up a secure tennancy which is really peeing me off, I dont see why I should be made to go into private renting, I know I should be lucky to have a roof over my head, but I do not feel this gives LA's the right to knowingly mislead people.
Apparently they are putting refuge residents in band B or c! thats rediculous, especially seeing as this particualr one has a maximum stay of 6 months, they expect us to sit here for 4 months beore making a homeless application! then reckon they can find us accomodation in 6 weeks, so basically in my eyes they are dong this so we are being forced to go into the private sector as you cant possibly bid on a 2 week bidding cycle and be successful within 4 to 6 weeks!
That is really bad. I would be wiling to write letters to/e-mail your council about it if you think that would be any use. It must be very frustrating as being in that sitaution you can't exactly go to the press about it. I have a friend who ended up living in a mental hospital for a while because she had nowhere else to go.

Last Wednesday day before being induced , our boiler got condemed by the gas safe man...
Its really getting me down , i broke down on sunday evening , as i am sleeping on the sofa ever since giving birth as our living room has a gas fire and is only room with heating ,

Because I don't use it :o I like to look at it though. I'll use it when LO is bigger, probably won't be into babywearing when he is a toddler!
We managed to get away without using our pushchair but have kept it because if we had a later walker (or a heavier child) I think we would definitely need it.

After an hour and a half wait - for an appointment they booked "so I wasn't just turning up and wouldn't have to wait"!! - we probably had the best blood test ever (iykwim!). Rhys barely cried, doctor got it right first time and it barely took three minutes :D Home for brekkie, now just having a cuppa and getting stuff together to go to my sister's :)

Okay, time to change monkeychops and wrestle her into the sling. Fingers crossed she'll fall asleep on the way.

Have a nice afternoon all :)

Susan, he learned Icelandic because he enjoys languages and likes ones that don't fit into existing language families he already knows. He also speaks Japanese and a couple of others. I hope it's a skill Molly can pick up - but I do want her to have a firm basis in the first two before we start trying to fill her head with more.

Quick flying visit and a skim read catch up.

Congrats Nikkit :j Hope you get the boiler sorted. Sounds like a nightmare.

*hugs* to all who need them.

Tidied up the bit of essay I wrote yesterday and managed to find the quote I wanted to use to sum up my conclusion. Done some reading the morning, and have a rough plan in my head of what I want to write and include in part 2, but need to do some research on Royal Mail and actually write it.

Also kept popping up to hold bits of pipe in the bathroom and stuff. I think it must be a difficult job judging by the number of swear words that keep coming down the stairs :o:rotfl:
Here I go again on my own....

That's very impressive. I started learning Japanese but didn't get very far as all my Japanese friends now live in Japan or Florida so I don't have anyone to practise with. I understand people who are bilingual are usually better at picking up additional languages so Molly is getting a good start. Does he talk German to her usually?

hello ladie shad a few bad days but things seem to have calmed down today! HV was in yesterday so i managed to get a few things off my chest which helped a lot! she seems to listen and give me advice as a friend and i think im lucky to have someone like that!
Today was soft start at the nursery, you get to stay with child for half an hour and see what they do and the LOs also get to stay, ended up there for an hour and Charlie had a great time, then i took a walk to the toddlers just nipping into the playgroup to make sure Charlies application had been processed and ended up staying! They are called the monkeys(very suiting!) and he settled really well, all the mums are really nice and chatted away even inviting me on a night out soon :D He is allowed to attend every wednesday now for 9-11.30 which he is going to love and hopefully tire him out as it has done today!
sorry for the rabling and im off to catch up lol! x

OMG Nikkit i hope you get your heating sorted asap and HUGE *hugs* as you deserve them! Congratulations on your new baby too :D whilst your ironing do you want my pile :D:D

Anyone with a Stokke can you attach a buggy board thing?? Charlie refuses to go in the P&T now as he wants to walk everywhere he holds onto the strap and as been quite good so i thought i may sell and pick up a stokke (shhhhhhhh im not a buggy addict :P) i probably wouldnt use a board very much but it would be a nice back up. the toddler seat on the P&T is used for shopping now lol!

Caz Stokke have their own board thing, I'm not sure if you can attach one of the non-Stokke ones :)
