I did all the plumbing in our bathroom when we renovated our flat. Plastic pipes are the way to go if you ask me! We had lead pipes before and got £50 for them! If you need advice the ultimatehandyman website is brill.

Craig has been out this afternoon and bought plastic pipes! While I was at work this afternoon he's started the job and got a bit done. He's got permanent knee damage though, so he's having to do it in bursts as kneeling on the floor hurts him too much.

Beenie, Becles, SusanC and any other northeners (not sure if anyone is)- do you fancy arranging a trip to Metro Centre or Giants Den sometime? Or anywhere else you can think of.

Yes - fine with me :)

Mornings are best for me. Charlotte has a nap around 1.30-2pm, and starts getting grotty after lunch!

I read that one in ten cases of chicken pox are so mild the person doesn't know they've had it. For mumps, one in four is asymptomatic.

Oh yeah chicken pox...I must have been one of the unlucky ones, I was covered head to toe in spots and was completely out of it and delirious with fever for some of the time....I don't remember (I was about 5) but apparantly my mum called a doctor out to the house as I was having hallucinations and shaking!! She was worried it was something other than chicken pox, I have been left with (very faint now) scars on my scalp and forehead.

Poor Mel! As far as my mum was aware, I never had chicken pox (I did have measels and whooping cough) but I was tested when pregnant with DS1 and have antibodies so must have had it or been exposed to it at some point. My brother had chicken pox.

Jillie i wouldn't mind winning enough for 4 bed house (detached - no noisy morons omg!!), and i love those bedrooms Tia linked to earlier. Well actually, £150k would do me nicely, would set us up for life without being stinking rich and wasting it on crap!

    /stops dreaming.

    Evening all..

Am having a bit of a low day today :o Not got a lot done, had a lot of sleep this morning, then OH went AWOL for three hours this afternoon so I was playing with Rhys (who's been standing on his own on the bed before crashing into a pile of pillows, so funny!) and just got the washing up done while he napped. Had his first nap in his cot today - usually naps in the living room under his play gym or in his swing - and had no problems with him falling asleep. Put him down awake and left him playing.

Hope everyone else is okay xx

Happy anniversary SS and happy birthday WM xx

Does anyone have any preferred days of the week or days which are no good?
