Christ. All this hype for that. Looks like a £15 digital photo frame.
Edit - first picture makes Steve Jobs look like a midget holding an iphone
:rotfl:
It would be one Hell of a digital photo frame that had a backlit LED screen, a built-in iPod, 3G and 802.11n wifi, could browse the web, check emails, use iWork, read eBooks, run any of the 140,000 existing iPhone apps in addition to whatever apps get released for the iPad, and display HD video, all within a device that's half an inch thick and has a 10 hour battery life.
I would wait until you try one out before you draw any conclusions as to how good it is. Personally, I find the idea of sitting on the sofa browsing the net or checking my emails just as though I'm reading a book to be very appealing. It's certainly a much more natural way to do it than using a laptop.
Remind me again why anyone would buy a netbook now?0 -
I have to say after all the hype I'm disappointed in how it looks, That black bezel is huge.0

Was considering buying a new mac (i have the Black MacBook) but after uni all i seem to use it for is net and iTunes - i would rather have this with me on my sofa and it does look really cool! And that it is compatable with my iPhone apps it should work a treat when im really bored!
p.s - when does the keynote get released onto iTunes?:beer:In My 'Permanant' Pre-Masters Gap Year

It's usually up in a few hours.
If you put your email address in here, they'll email you when it's available on Apple's site.
There's a video showing off the device here.0 -

And how do you make it stand up on your lap?“Careful. We don't want to learn from this.”0 -

You use a stand. Or you hold it, like a book.
You're familiar with books, right?0 -
Hmm, it doesn't look too bad. Kinda useful if you can't afford a Mac, and want more than the iPhone does. I'd get it if I hadn't already turned to the Mac side - I'm addicted to my MBPro.
