Eh!...I have no idea what that means!0 -
offering a 7 day no quibble exchange is far beyond statutory obligations and no 'reasonable customer' would have cause to argue with this.Target Savings by end 2009: 20,000

Anyone who buys anything can always say "if i cant bring it back if its not suitable,i wont buy it",that usually concentrates their minds,(make sure they will give aq cash refund though)0

Can't believe the salesman who exchanged it for a different one didn't understand my words "the sound on this TV is horribly 'tinny', can you exchange it for a different model please". Even the daftest of people would grasp that in order to determine it was 'tinny' I'd not only opened it, I'd plugged it in and listened to it (can't recall whether I tuned it in or it self-tuned).
We even discussed the 'tinny' sound was a bit of a problem with all small, LCD TV's. He was right, the next one wasn't too much better so we got external speakers for it instead.
I'm not disputing or defending the many problems you and others may have had with Comet, but personally, they exchanged without a problem for me.Maybe it's the attitude and body language of polite but positive expectation I was giving off, I assumed he'd change it, spoke to him like he would change it ...........so he did! :T

Silly me that makes it alright then because they have a decent profit margin they can afford to waste their time dealing with idiots like you returning something every 5 minutes just because you changed your mind. Regardless of the profit margin it still costs money, if every customer bought something and returned it 5 days later just because they changed their mind the prices would have to rise as the profit margin is being squeezed on the wasted money and time taking returns.
With regards to sagalout they didn't refund or replace just becuase you changed your mind, the quality wasn't as you expected and most stores will do their best to ensure you get what you need, also like you say the attitude you go in will depend on how much they are going to help you.
I think the problem Truthman is having is that he thinks he go and buy something like an MP3 take it holiday and use it, get back and decide he doesn't need it anymore and wants a refund as he no longer wants it. Your just wasting peoples time and its people like you that screw things up for the genuine people.
Look at argos a few years you could pretty much return anything within 30 days except jewellery, then people abused that goodwill by getting cameras, stereos, tvs and just returning them before the 30 days was up. Now argos will only let you return a limited amount of items within that period, electrical stuff now can pretty much only be returned if faulty.Everyones opinion is the most important.....no wonder nothing is ever agreed on.0 -

Good point pitkin - perhaps that's why I had no probs.
As for Argos, blimey didn't know they'd introduced any changes on electrical returns - I recently switched a vacuum cleaner 3 times in 3 days before deciding on a refund instead (I was in my 'indecisive' phase - it's an age thing :rotfl:) Eek, I'm probably one of the reasons no package in Argos appears 'unopened' when you buy it!!**0 -

Argos do still offer 30 days on a lot of their products, but its mainly things like cameras, computing equipment that over the last 2 years seem to have clamped down on the 30 day no quibble return unless faulty.Everyones opinion is the most important.....no wonder nothing is ever agreed on.0 -

I'm sure noone will do like this, your imagination going in wrong way, There are few odd people always there, but i'm not talking about them. for e.g people misuse benefit system/traffic system and many system, still we do have that systems in place. If we use road we might end up accident so stop all the traffic make it clear all the time that's how i can think of when you say this.pitkin2020 wrote: »Silly me that makes it alright then because they have a decent profit margin they can afford to waste their time dealing with idiots like you
Don't say i'm Idiot, i can also say back to you but i'm not like you. Always rude people dont have any sense. They cannot differtiate what is right/wrong. If you don't understand ask me i will explain, develop your knowledge and skills.0
