I quite like Currys and PC World; Comet, a little less.Squirrel! If I tell you who I work for, I'm not allowed to help you. If I don't say, then I can help you with questions and fixing products. Regardless, there's still no secret EU law.

If you had told them you opend the box then they dont give refund, they normally tell, we will have to send it to for repair. You might be lucky they did not notice you opened the pack.0 -
Do they really have to replace an item just because you did not like it,On Boxing day last year i purchased a brand new Ps3 slim from argos, and i was told that it could not be returned unless faulty.
Personally when i buy big pieces of equipment i want to have been the first person to own it,i would not be to happy to find out that it had actually been in someones house for a couple of days and then returned for whatever reason, that becomes used goods surely.Forum spellcheckers are the pitts.0 -

It is their(big bulls) responsibility to make customer happy to accept the items for whatever reason customer returned. Then returned item will have to be inspected by them fully before it comes to sale. If it is good item noone will return just for fun. It's really big hassle to buy an item and return item.0 -

If its such a big hassle why not look at some reviews before making up your mind what tv you want to purchase.0 -
Curry's took back a USB DVD writer I didn't like. Swapped it for another (same price) with no issue at all.Starting Debt: ~£20,000 01/01/2009. DFD: 20/11/2009 :j

Few people like you and me can read reviews and do some research but normal ordinary people they don't, more than that review does not necessarily reflect the item quality.
You know sometimes these companies put a small picture looks like handy item but when we buy it comes with big bulky think. This kind of cheating can be avoided only if we have 7 days change of mind at least.0 -

You do if you buy online. If you buy in the store, you don't...but you do get the added advantage of being able to see the actual product before you buy itSquirrel! If I tell you who I work for, I'm not allowed to help you. If you buy online you have that option to return within 7 days, but if you go into currys, comet etc and see the item why should you have the right to return because you just don't want it anymore. It costs the company money to pay a refund, test return, restock and repackage the item not to mention the time wasted by staff on a non sale.Everyones opinion is the most important.....no wonder nothing is ever agreed on.0 -

You know how much margin they get profit on each item more than double in most of the items, compare to that, this one this is nothing. If there is any problem or change of mind, customers should have an option. It will increase their sale only rather than thinking about negatively.0
