Hi
Thanks. Will do.
Did you contact the insurer prior to going through the FOS? I am thinking what happens if they come back to me saying it wasn't actually them that sold me the insurance?
How long did yours take?0 -

Yes I did as a normal reclaiming procedure, the chances are they will come back to say they were not responsible, but the FOS are trying to make them responsible as well, and these would have been governed, and of course many have still been successful with going the insurer direction.
But at least you will not be turned away from the FOS.
When I requested for as copy of my policy, it arrived about 10 days or so after, then I emailed as well has sent an hardcopy in the post to the Insurer, who were Hamilton, yet through Aviva like yourself, they got back within a few days.
I sent all my details with a complaints form to the FOS, with the letter from Hamilton (copy), in October 09, they have kept me updated though to let me know it will be passed on to an adjudicator in due course.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0
