  • Bought a fridge/freezer from them - good price but with hindsight I'd go to John Lewis because.... they deliver to your kitchen!!!

These guys deliver only to the FRONT DOOR!!!!!!!

Yes, unbelievable!! If it's big & heavy they will only deliver to your doorstep, this obviously could be a real problem, as I found out.
So, the only stuff they don't bring inside is the stuff you couldn't possibly move yourself - even though there's two of them. Check the T&C's - I did but too late, it's in there.

    BEWARE!!!
  • I have just purchased an indesit fridge from electro centre online it was half the price it was in comet and was delivered by a really friendly man at a convenient time as promised before Christmas! I was dubious due to the huge saving I thought it may be too good to be true but was really impressed! This is my first post on here I wanted to rave about them as its not often you get good service at a good price!:T

i've used them for a very tall bosch freezer they brought it in no problem straight in the kitchen np i think you will find the terms are for if you live in flats or problem houses where there are lots of corridors and they could damage items maybe. but they where careful helpful and courteous to me.

I also bought a fridge freezer from them which they delivered to the kitchen. The delivery men were monosyllabic but that was fine - they took the packaging off so I could inspect it and sign for it but I had to get rid of the packaging.

  • I just got off the phone with ElectroCentre customer service.
I had to call them because I ordered a fridge freezer from them online on Sunday.
I read the terms and conditions that they don't make Sunday to Tuesday deliveries. Fridge freezers are supposed to be 1-3 days to delivery. So, I had hoped to see my fridge on Wed, but had not received an email. I did email them and got a reply within a few hours that they would not be delivering to my "area" until Saturday!!!!!
(This would mean I have not had a refrigerator for week as mine died.)
With that brief email, I decided I needed to call and see if I could cancel my order.
During this conversation, I found out that they don't deliver in the Cumbria area until Saturday. THIS was definitely NOT mentioned in the terms and conditions!!! And to cancel my order they wanted to charge me £15 "for the paperwork"!
I ONLY went with them because I thought I would have a fridge delivered by Wednesday. Now I have to wait until Saturday! AND I could have gotten it cheaper on another website and delivered on Thursday!!!!
I looked at this forum and thought that most of the comments were positive, and that helped my decision to buy with Electro Centre.
But, I feel MIS-SOLD this product and won't be doing business with them again.

  • Rang Electrocentre yesterday (03/04/12) about an LG F1481TD5 Washing Machine (£417.95)We had been doing our homework checking prices and most important feedback reviews, none of the other internet sites came anywhere near as good as them.. So we placed the order (14:55) we were given a delivery date Tues 10th due to the bank holidays.. However at 15:30hrs we received a phone call asking would it be OK to deliver tomorrow (04/04/12) it arrived as promised at 16:00hrs some 25 hours after placing the order. To put the top hat on everything it was delivered FREE and they took away our old machine without any charge. Excellent service a BIG THANK YOU Electrocentre we will be back..

We bought a washing machine from them, which broke down on a monthly basis. Eventually it was written off, and we had a replacement....which then broke down within a month! Now, our warrenty had 'run out' as apparently it only counts from 1 year after origonal purchase, but our machine never worked, and the 'fixing' drama went on for over a year! Electrocenter refused to replace it, and only gave us a partial refund after we threatened to sue them. We had to pay to send the broken machine back, and in the end we were basicly out of pocket. The people were rude, very very rude: I had to get my husband to speak to them because they were just so nasty. I have never had to deal with such blatant thievery and lies before. I would avoid these cowboys at all costs!
