Electrocentre - would you recommend them?

Hi, I have seen a dishwasher I want and Electrocentre appears to be the cheapest. Has anyone used them? Are they reliable? Cheers

i take it that no one on this forum has used them then. they have a telly i want and it £50 cheaper than currys and as the goal thing has finished its now the best deal i can find

we used them recently for a tv purchase, was wary as not heard of them before but all ok , delivered when they said they would, delivery driver even opened box for us to inspect tv before we signed for it.
ours was a phone order by the way, only would mention one thing the chap we spoke to was hard to understand at times

can't comment on after sales/customer service though as touch wood tv is tip top.

when we looked at the all i did was google electrocentre problems and looked at the review sites

I know this an old thread, but want to ask the same question.
I want to order a washing machine from them, have looked on the review site and it all seems ok, just wondered if anyone has had any problems.

Hi, we ordered a washing machine from them a few months ago. Transaction was fine - bought online, then got a phone call confirming delivery. In the end the delivery drivers didn't arrive until about 8 at night - seem to recall it was when the snow was bad. I'd given up on them coming that day, but I think that they were drivers specifically for the company and they'd come all the way up from the Midlands, so they weren't going to turn around and come back tomorrow.

Washing machine has had no problems, and it cost me at least £100 less than other places.

I bought a 42" LG Freeview TV from Electro Centre. Like most people here, I was wary if buying from them as usually if it appears to be too good there is something to beware of. Especially from my last experience from the very similarly-named Electrical Centre in close-by Wolverhampton which was a nightmare.

However, the price was £100 cheaper from Amazon even so it was very hard to justify the extra cost and I did a *lot* of research online and gave them a go. Well, they confirmed immediately the order by email (on a Sunday) and called me up on the following morning (Monday) to tell me it would be delivered on the Tuesday. I got a phone call from them giving me 30 mins notice and they were true to their word.

They probably save money by delivering themselves, instead of using other couriers etc. But I am truly delighted with the service and the price and can't fault them one bit. And this is coming from someone who was very sceptical of them when I saw the price. When you see what other companies were charging it is fair to say I got a real bargain with them.

We bought a Beko Washing Machine from them about 2 months ago.

Delivery drivers got a bit lost (no idea how) but did ring us to tell they would be late.

Can't complain with the service overall and would recommend.

Bought 2 TVs and a DVD player from them about 5 years ago. Had problem with website ordering on a Friday night so phoned when they opened on Saturday morning but they had already realised that there was an issue and resolved it before opening the retail store. Delivery was made by their own staff in an unmarked transit (security reasons?) but they were very polite and efficient.

Just checking on here to see if any current problems before I order another Tv and Bluray player.

Ordered an upright freezer Last Tuesday from them at 4.30pm arrived next day at 8.30am no complaints here

John Lewis pricematch with these BTW these will mean you get a better warranty, 5years on TV 2 years on other electricals

Please be careful ordering from this company & if you do, make sure you check your order completely before signing any delivery notes, as if anything is missing from you order they won't replace. They just refer to their terms and conditions.
I bought a TV from then & their customers services department is abysmal & do not care.
I am really worried should something go wrong with this very expensive TV that they will not uphold the guarantee.
I've since investigated further (nothing like closing the stable door after the horse has bolted) but the company is not unknown to trading standards.
