Andy - Virgin legally (I think) only have to allow you a full refund and you then re-book if you want to. Lets face it word for word they could just give you a 1 day park hopper that would fullfil any legal argument - and if they had any sense it would be cheaper than paying their lawyers to defend such a claim.
As it says "Disney park hopper pass (singular). And does not say 7 day 14 day etc. So you are talking of a law suit for less than £46.30 (based on today's exchange rate).
By the way the link has now been corrected - it does not say pass is included it states "Hotel Facilities - Disney Park Hopper Passes" which means (like every hotel here) you can buy you pass in the hotel (usually from a kiosk vender in non-Disney hotels).
Ask Virgin for a Virgin gift voucher as compensation see what they say. (They gave me £200.00 in vouchers (Virgin products not just airline) once.
I deal with Virgin at great deal both work and when I fly home to London for holidays and they treat us great usually. I think you have an unusual case but no matter how good a company is, mistakes are made. My opinion is what makes the difference is how they rectify the problem to YOUR satisfaction.
Your Disneyland Paris experience is different because you booked this through VIRGIN HOLIDAYS and not DISNEY VACATIONS! there's possibly a reason.C. (Ex-Pat Brit)

many thanks for the advice from all concerned.
After thinking very carefully about all this, I sent another email to virgin customer services explaining the way it was advertised and described on their own website, basically saying about the superb reputation blah blah blah and how we felt regarding this matter.
well i have received and email today from virgin, hows sorry they are and for the misleading information on there website.
they are providing us with 5 14 day ultimate tickets.
so, i was right to pursue this.
yippeeeeee to me
Hi Andrew,
Thanks for your email.
I've had a look into this and can see that we do indeed advertise the Park Hopper Pass as one of the Caribbean Beach's facilities.
Disney's Park Hopper Pass doesn't actually exist anymore, as it's been replaced by the newer Premium Ticket. I've therefore been authorised to add Disney's 7 Day Premium Ticket to your booking and, as there's currently a promotion on, I'm happy to say that I've been able to give you the 14 Day Ultimate Ticket. In addition to allowing unlimited entry to Disney's 'big 4' parks (Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom), you also have unlimited access to Blizzard Beach, Typhoon Lagoon, Wide world of Sports and Disney Quest for the full two weeks of your holiday.
There'll be a new invoice generated and sent to you, which will show the Ultimate Tickets as well as the price of them and the same amount as a discount, so your total cost remains the same.
I'm sorry if our mistake has caused you any problems and I sincerely hope you have a fantastic time at Disney this summer.
Kindest regards,0 -
wow!!!! and another !.......
Well done Andy, thats a huge comp. Enjoy Tower of Terror - My favorite!
Maybe we'll bump ito each other at WDW.
Based on retail 7 day park hopper = 40.86 per day X 7 = 286.02 X 5 people = 1430.10 (£888.26)
If they are giving you "never run out tickets) that goes up to 2005.15 (£1245.43)C. (Ex-Pat Brit)
