sammy - you can eat a little hard cheese, but you need to check how much a 'little' is....for me it's barely anything, like 2 cubes you get on cocktail sticks.
Try goat's milk, it's extremely yummysome and tastes the same. Semi-skimmed is creamy, so skimmed tastes like semi-skimmed. Soya tastes pants, and you have to be careful how you use it, as it curdles quickly. You can get lactose free spreads "Pure" and they're quite nice. Bu no choccy...but the soya one is quite tasty...nomnomnom.
Erm, you can get goats milk yogurt, and Swedish Glace is the VERY nice ice-cream, so much so that Pint eats it too. There's soya cream, but it tastes a bit....beany....Think it's just checking as well, as many things have milk stuff in you wouldn't think of (like caramel snack a jacks - check all caramel containing foods) Also, it doesn't limit sweeties, just rid of the choocy and toffee and fudges
My life is pitiful....remove all the lactose and all the bread and weetabix and yummys - no cake *cries* no biscuits *cries harder*** Total debt: £6950.82 ± May NSDs 1/10 **** Fat Bum Shrinking: -7/56lbs **

thanks elfen....I am not sure I can live without chocolate....I don't eat yoghurts or icecream. Not keen on cakes either..:rotfl: thank god....
Don't drink much milk either just in cooking and I have been using lactose free milk which has been okay. I seem to have been okay with cheese so far but will try it bit by bit to see if it affects me....Quality is doing something right when no one is looking - Henry Ford

hey all - not going into much detail other than to say i asked for my diary to be deleted, someone felt the need to say that i should consider whether what i was writing on my diary was appropriate for a public forum and whether GM would appreciate some of the things i'd said about him being in the public domain. (jeezo, they obviously didnt read the things i wrote about runnerman!!lol!)
whoever was posting tried to infer that they were either A) GM himself ( no chance, no online access and wrong timezone!)a friend of mine who has my best interests at heart and didnt want to compromise said friendship by confronting me C) somone who knows him (a friend or his ex wife or whatever!) D) some MSE reader and referring to themself as the Silent Reader
Anyways upshot is... altho i dont protect my own identity on here, why should i, i love this place and all it's done for me.... i probably wouldnt like it if someone wrote horrible things about me.... and mainly.........
i couldnt take the chance that someone did print off some juicy posts out of context (or even worse, in blooody context!) and give them to him. Between us, he and i are more than capable of cocking up a relationship, we dont need outside interference!
And as for a friend worrying about confronting me and jeapordising the friendship, they have just made me doubt every friendship I have on here, so way to go on that score!
It's undermined my faith in the community a fair bit... not because of what they said, cause honestly they were right... but it was the "ooooh you dont know who i am, i could be A/B/C, so will freak you out by making you wonder...."I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -
