woohoo, i managed my 18th NSD on monday..i'm proud of myself..
yday i had to spend as i had to transfer some money between accounts, so i used yday for all my spending needs..i went to the bingo with a friend, also bought a card for my sis and a present to cheer up a friend, and paid for all my ebay postage for the last few days, so that should mean today is spend-free as i also roasted all the veg i had left in the fridge last night, and brought some for lunch with a pitta bread, that's lunch sorted..think i should easily make another before the month is out0 -
Hey everyone, I know it's first thing in the morning, but I'm calling 15/18 today and closing the February book for me.
Tomorrow will be the start of my March challenge - and I'm going for 15 in the vague hope I can achieve it!0 -
Shopped for food on Sunday (as expected/planned).
Nothing at all spent since then, so now on 15 for the challenge (groceries only, and have now matched January in terms of NSDs) which I would never have thought possible - even at the beginning of the month - with it being the shortest month.... and still 5 more possible, though will need at least milk on one of them.
Am also at 12 Total NSDs which is equally as amazing to me
This morning I've really seen the impact of doing this challenge alongside the Frugal Living one...... Have 2 pay days this month (pension tomorrow, salary of Friday), and can't normally move the money for my Direct Debits between accounts until at least the first of those goes in (have one account just for regular bills, and I transfer money at the end of one month to cover everything due out the next month) - but I've managed to move it across today. Not only that, but I would have had enough to do it even if Council Tax were due in March :T And this is after DS1 borrowed a significant amount off me between Christmas and the end of January - none of which has yet been paid back!!!Cheryl0 -

...... Makes mornings interesting :rotfl::rotfl:
Me too. I will feel shattered all day (I get up at 7) and then come 10pm I'm wide awake. Usually get chance to catchup a little at weekends but since Xmas I've not been able to do this so 4 - 5 hours a night sleep is really catching up with me now. I look GORGEOUS. Not.
It's my own fault mostly but then again I do have a neighbour who loves doing DIY in the the wee small hours. No, I'm not joking. Several years ago he was sanding his floorboards with a sanding machine between 11pm and 3am. He's knocked off his bathroom tiling and also demolished internal walls...........all in the middle of the freaking night. I've given up mentioning the noise and he's not the most approachable of guy. I do think the walls are thin though as I can even hear them talking. Once a week she likes a long bath accompanied by current R&B. Once a week he likes a long bath accompanied by 80's classics. I dance round the house to Depeche Mode and Human League. He used to be a bouncer and when he came in at a round 3am I could hear him slam his front door, run up his stairs, bang the bathroom door open, p1ss like a horse and then let out a loud belch. Fortunately I found that funny.
But other than that I just love being up late - it feels naughty......until the alarm goes off the next morning. I can't speak for about 30 minutes I'm that traumatised.
Aaaannyway.......Managed a couple more NSD's. HURRAGGGH. But It's not looking as if I will be meeting my target (AGAIN).
Tonight am out for a meal with work but lovely work are paying- so that's a further NSD to earn.
Tomorrow will have to do a food shop as BF is with me this weekend and there is nothing in for him to eat and also need some essentials for me.
Friday evening am out early-ish (so hence can't do the shopping then) and it a Charity Party so lots of raffle tickets etc to buy.(for the SD)
Saturday we are going out for a meal. Together. Without anyone else in tow for a change. I've already warned him I'm going to make him hold my hand.(for the SD)
Sunday - I will refuse to leave the house to get my last NSD.
So by my calculations I will be 1 NSD short. GRRRRRRR
Hope you are all doing better!0 -
we move every month before the neighbours can complain about the wild parties & raucous behaviour :rotfl:
We shall have to write to our MPs & get those pesky cheesie puffs banned Thriftyfifty; they're causing no end of disruption to us lot on here & it is simply not good enough..who do they think they are, laying there so tempti-fying & cheesey & soo soo crunchie-but-soft-in-your-mouth
I usually go 'commando' with my bread anyway & just butter one side for the Offspring in case they look
1) Am too tired this month to be raucous BigMummaF. Is that okay? Also have poured 3/4 of bottle of out-of-date Baileys down the sink as it was starting to be a nightly habit (with a hot choc) and making me all tipsy and silly in bed. Sadly whilst I was on my own.
2) I've started eating cheesy puffs and am laying the blame absolutely with ThiftyFifty. (Does anyone else do two packets in one sitting?)
3) Have a wierd image of you sat at a huuuuge pine table in a country style kitchen eating a sarnie with no bottoms on. Whilst am sure you have a lovely btm I'm going to trip over to YouTube to watch Kevin Kline striding about as the Pirate King to get rid of image.
Lunch break over and back to work - thanks for the diversion MSE/NSD-ers!0 -
Apart from giving Emma 80p bus fare to travel home from school I have had a NSD. Even went out of the house and spent nothing. Am so proud. xBack for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

Today was NSD 16:j so i've reached my target.
Thanks to everyone involved in all the NSD threads, i'm amazed at just how much money i've saved over the last couple of months. It's also made me realise just how easy it [STRIKE]is[/STRIKE] was to spend money for the sake of it.
Well done BigMummaF on achieving your 200 NSD:j:T"A bargain is something you can't use at a price you can't resist." Franklin Jones0 -

Doing it the Niddy way:j:j:j0 -
