I've just found this and am going to join for March, though I did manage 2 this week and hopefully tomorrow will be a NSD too. I'm planning to start on Friday when I get paid, so will have nearly 5 weeks to go. I just have a couple of questions though:
    1. Do you count direct debits, or just things like groceries, clothes, magazines etc?
    2. How do you all keep motivated? I have decided to put £1 in a jam jar for each day I manage, to be spent at the end of the month as I wish (it may well go in the ISA). Does anyone have any other ideas?
    Hi lizzyshep and welcome,
People class NSDs differently on here depending on lifestyle and requirements. I treat anything except SOs/DDs as spending - so cash, debit/credit card payments would be classed as a spend whether on groceries, clothes or anything.
Re motivation - this thread is motivating in itself, there's plenty of encouragement available here, but the idea of £1 for each NSD is a good one - might try that myself :D.
Good luck for March and look forward tp seeing you around.

    Hi to everyone else
Back later for an update - hoping for an NSD today, but not sure whether I'll make it :(
:) The time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time :)

  • Another NSD today, tomorrow is food shop day so will be spending. It's going to be a tight squeeze this month to fit them all in, but I will see how I go, might be 1 or 2 out.

Hope you are all doing ok xx
All the coffee in Columbia won't make me a morning person... :D:p

14/18 today - and there's only one day left as I'm swapping days - so another no meeting of the goal this month. Next month I think I'm going to go for 15 as I want to get a great big smiley.

Well done to everyone meeting theirs!!!
