Hi all
Curlygirl - what a horrible thing to happen, hope you get the money back soon.
Rubies - well done for resisting - your new chesterfield will last much longer than the teapot, storages boxes, etc and you'll appreciate it so much more when you finally get there
Casper - good luck with second no smoking attempt - you'll get there!!
This thread is lively at the moment, keep going at this rate and BigMumma will have to start a second one for Feb...... Well done everyone, great to see so many on their second NSD already :j (including me, as I've been working all day and had no chance to buy anything :j).
Good luck to everyone for tomorrow and a hug to anyone needing one.

Spent on Groceries on Monday (only a small spend, but still a spend), so no NSD there
Also had some regular payments go out, so didn't beat myself up over spending on food - especially as I ended up with breaded chicken fillets for 2 meals (4 portions) and Southern Fried chicken fillets for a further 3 meals (6 portions), plus a small quiche for a couple of lunches for me. Total cost just £2.22 as it was all Whoopsied to 25% of original cost
But no groceries bought yesterday, so that's my first NSD of the month
Also no regular payments out yesterday, so it was a total NSD :TCheryl0 -

I was wondering how peeps remember all the passwords & PINs for everything  The electronic age has a few advantages, but a helluva lot more rising male chickens, from where I stand :wall:Had trouble with this place, kept having to log on..& this is progress????
Bigmumma - what have you and your friends done to me??
....(am i allowedto put shop name in? sorry if not). I think folk try to spell it differently so as to not be accused of advertising, so a high street chemist might be 8oots for example. That's why the Mr T/S/A etc began on the Grocery Challenge, because the individual posts would come up on a search engine..summat like that[see above for my tekkie no-ledge ]
....So, i decided i would treat myself and have a spend day....
And what did i do ................................................................................ I bought nothing, all that lovely stuff and i kept hearing you all in my head - i even imagine different accents for you all - telling me how i didn't need them (including the teapot) and now thanks to you all i am now claiming my 2nd NSD.
Thank you one and all.
I 'hear' people too [didn't you just love "6th Sense"! Very clever writing & that lad was excellent in the lead..] & then you get a glimpse in real life, & they're nothing to how you imagined! Perhaps that's why I will not read a book AFTER I've seen a film, cuz it changes my perspective...

Think this month I will stick with worrying about me and DS1, DS2 and DD and the food shopping etc and work on DH reducing his lunchtime spending gradually....
Going to update The List now, so please have a look every now & again to make sure I'm keeping up

Did my grocery shopping on Monday, but yesterday and today are NSD's and it looks like the rest of the week will be too. Fingers crossed for no more DIY emergencies.
Did some baking yesterday for the first time in years and as well as it using up some leftover bananas it was also very relaxing to switch off my brain and just stir a big bowl of ingredients. (and obviously eating it was just as relaxing:rotfl:)
Just keep an eye on my sig to see if the weight loss turns into a gain:rotfl:
Jollymummy - Good idea on the parking. I've been writing and sticking to my shopping list this year too and i'm finding it's making me stick to my budget
Curlygirl - sorry to hear you've been having such a bad time. Hopefully that's your 3 and no more. Hot choc & bailey's sounds like an excellent idea"A bargain is something you can't use at a price you can't resist." Franklin Jones0 -
