Trying for a Baby part 5....

Looks like you are gearing up for ov, good luck BDing:)
There are different types of PCOS. Which type do you have?
Have you had a blood test?
There's PCOS with no probs, perfect cycle, and pg 1st time every time, a PCOS with insulin resistance, weight probs, hormonal imbalance, acne, excessive hair etc.
Mine is PCO with cycle/ov probs only, no insulin, weight, hormonal, acne, excessive hair probs.
Obviously, if you have perfect cycles and get pg 1st time every time, then you don't need to do anything, you are fertile:p
If the problem is weight, losing 10% will normally fix it.
If you have insulin problem etc there's drugs for it, and there's Clomid for inducing ov and other medications to induce AF.
So not a big deal. Once you ov, then you have the same odds as normal people.
Cheer up!:o
Well i have not spoke in depth to my doctor about it yet, Have only had the receptionist confirm it and ask me to make an appointment but I do have the weight/ acne/ hair problems so i'm guessing its the latter. I have had a blood test and now a scan so i'm guessing they should be able to tell me in depth next week about exactly whats wrong. I'm guessing I can't get pg first time as we've not used contraception for 5 months now and have nothing.
I have recently lost 31 lbs so we shall see if that does indeed fix things, but you are right i should cheer up! Thanks for your advice
ETA: sorry for my offensive post blocking it from your work pc! I will edit my post now!0 -
Hello everyone,
Just catching up on posts. Congrats Teenie, it must be an amazing feeling!
I just wondered if anyone had any doubts prior to ttc? We have spent the best part of 6 months easing into the subject and recently talked in depth about how we'd rather try and see what happens, than always wonder what might have been.
We both have jobs but of course finances will be tight - can anyone advise an 'deal' amount of cash to have in the bank before baby arrives?
We would obviously be very MSE in the 9 months beforehand...
Also what doubts did you/do you have? I worry about so much and especially that my gran and mum did not have a very close relationship (gran raised her alone alot) then I don't get on perfectly with my mum (she raised my bro and I alone alot). We've turned out fine though and I know not much can be done apart from the best you can do!
I've been pretty much the same as you, i've been broody for a long time so has DH but I went to the trouble of ensuring that we didn't fall pregnant until after we were married I just couldn't walk down the aisle knowing i was pregnant but after we were married (which was just recently and I sound like an old married hag!!!) I felt that i didn't want to put it off any longer and didnt want to get any older before trying!!!!
As for money I know how you feel we still ave some outstanding wedding debt which should/ will be paid off in 9 months time neway but in the meantime we are saving £100 each month in a credit union account with an already pre-saved amount of £1500 so we hope to have £2500 by the time baby arrives or more if it takes longer to conceive!!!
Maternity pay is shocking i read up on my works policy and i was quite disappointed to say the least!!!
But remember having a baby and trying to conceive should be the fun part please don't let finances overshadow that warm and special feeling of having a child will give you!!!!

I never used to have (.) (.) pain before AF before I had the injection. Now I get it every month. The first month of TTC I was convinced I was preggers then realised my body is different now. I've been over a week late before as well. Now I just go with the flow and deal with every month as it comes.
We'll all get our bean at some point. Of that I am sure. Chin up ladies, the future is bright

money wise i have worked out i will have enough money from my work maternity package to last throughout the year off so i won't be saving up for that. i will just save during the full pay months to last through the low/no pay months.
i have tried to get my outgoings as low as possible using info on this site to enable me to do this.
i think i need about £1000 to buy stuff for the baby but will try to do it as cheap as poss. i will save this up whilst ttc.
i would work out how much you need for your monthly outgoings during you maternity leave, take off the pay you will be getting whilst on mat leave and the difference is what you need to save up before baby is here.0 -
On the money thing, I earn a fair amount more than DH and so we're having to save around £5000:eek: to cover the shortfall if I am to have 6 months off. Currently, we're saving £500pcm!!

Down below is 'Published charts'. Click one from the right and 'Add chart'.
Save settings, and copy & paste the 'Your Charting Home Page Web Address:' which looks like http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/286900 here.We did DTD briefly on CD10, but I'm not even going to add myself to the testing list on the strength of one night.
Many people have fallen pg after just one BD, so you are in for a chance:p0 -

Hi QQ, it was kinda quiet without you guys, but I was very busy away sailing for a week, now have another qualification to add to my collection, so it was worth the week away from DS, DH and MSE!
However, normal service has been resumed - back to work (3 days), running the house (7 days), doing the company admin (7 days), so I should have plenty of time for our TTC forum! :rotfl:
I was so busy I forgot to pay the credit card (not very MSE), so not only did I incur interest, I landed myself a £12 late payment fee, but I phoned a very nice man at Tesco and asked if they'd refund it as a goodwill gesture (as I'd never missed a payment before), and he did - how good was that?
And rang from work so the phone call was free too.You don't get if you don't ask (should change my signature as that's very much my motto!)
Yep, rambling on, but glad to be back....:)It doesn't hurt to be optimistic....you can always cry later.
