i too would love a girl....but am quite happy with my 2 sons
....i knew they were both gonna be boys even b4 the scan...i just had a feeling...its probably a good job as i only had boys name picked lol.
i dont get on too well with my mum and didnt growing up and i think thats one of the reasons id like a girl...i want to be her friend....help he get ready when (if) she gets married...and when she has babies. all the thing my mum forgets about. sorry it makes me sad lol but if we had another boy (if we can even get PG that is lol) id be very happy with that.
i do have a girls name picked out tho...even tho im sure taht will change...i like scarlet.....my sons are caleb and deacon...not usual run of the mill names but thats how i like it
I can undertsand that as I havent got the best relationship with my mum...its better now but we didnt get on too well when I was younger. But equally Im looking forward to my sons growing into well rounded men and not like their dad (my ex who is an idiot to say the least) lol
I love your kids names I had Scarlett on the list when I was pregnant with my little girl (Jasmine) and Caleb is on my boys list though I already have a Callum so dunno if thats too close...hehe get me now even pregnant yet lol**"Yesterday is gone. Tomorrow has not yet come. We have only today. Let us begin."**0 -
bitzer_maloney wrote: »Fuzz - I agree with both of those statements. I'm the youngest of 4 (but with a big age gap between me and the others) And though I do want children I won't know how many until I've had one. And hey, if 1 is all I manage to get then so be it. I like to think at 28 I've got time to think about these things though!
And I know what you mean about girls. OH is one of 2 boys, and his extended family is quite evenly balanced m/f (though there are twins ) I'm one of 3 girls though, I only have a niece and my family is mainly composed of women. I would love a baby of any description, I just wouldn't want to be outnumbered by males in my own house (think of the mess!!) Plus I'm a bit OCD, so I'd have to know, what if you were convinced it was a boy and it was a girl. You'd have to deal with the trauma of the birth and then the psychological trauma of having your ideas upended..
Thats the reason I want to find out the sex, I'd rather find out and get used to it before baby is born as having to deal with a birth & possibly not having the sex I thought, it'd be too much for me..as I'm a likely candidate for PND I've already thought about how I can eliminate all stresses & worry to hopefully prevent any kind of baby blues...my organising OCD coming into play there:p:D
Right I'll stop waffling on and stop trying to justify myself to....myself:o:rotfl:1.11.09 - debt = £45k:eek:

FWIW I have 2 boys and neither are that interested in footie...they are more into scouts and science club and my eldest likes drama lol
My little girl however likes trucks and lego and most things boys like....go figure lol**"Yesterday is gone. Tomorrow has not yet come. We have only today. Let us begin."**0 -

Fuzz, why wouldnt you recommend 3 if you dont mind me asking? I'm one of 2 so am a bit naive in these matters!
I've always felt that my sister got more being the 1st and my bro got more being the only boy whereas I was the 2nd girl so no big whoop over me...and looking back at pics theres tonnes of just my sister and just my brother but very few of just me:( I'm usually in ones with one or the other.
Also going on rides at funfairs etc can be difficult as very few have 3 seats so someone always got leftout(me!) as my little bro needed someone to take him on so sis got the duty for that as she was oldest. Wouldn't have been so bad if parents could've come on rides with me but nope....mum & dad couldn;t due to health problems, I was always told my sister would come on with me later but it's not fun when you're sat next to someone who's not as excited coz they've just done it! Or your parents have pretty much forced her to go on it again!
And if you don't have much money then someone has to share which is not good with 2 hormonal teenage girls sharing 1 room...my poor parents:o
Its just the little things but overtime they all add up, I honestly don't mind now as I'm older I can understand that my parents have always done the best for us but that only got better when my sister left home...mum and I got a lot closer from then hence me missing her like crazy now:o
I know my parents have always treated us as equally as possible but that doesn't help when your a 8yr old kid who REALLY wants to do something:) but unfortunately my parents have no say over how many seats they put on rides:rotfl:
There you go...an insight into a mentally damaged middle child:rotfl::rotfl:1.11.09 - debt = £45k:eek:

I'd love 2 boys, not sure I could cope with the teenage drama of girls. Plus I know they would be complete Daddys girls and get away with murder . I'm also an only child and although I didn;t feel lonely growing up I was jealous of friends with siblings. I'll never be an auntie. My names change every day and then I think I am jinxing my chances of getting PG by assuming it will happen IYKWIM.

..
I had a big yellow teapot, still got it as my mum says it'll be worth a fortune in a few years.. I always wanted a My Little Kitchen so I could put beans on a swiss roll :rotfl:. Did anyone have a Speak and Spell? I carried mine everywhere, I'm a spoilt only child.!
Well CD26 for me and still got this bleeding, bright red and quite heavy. No idea what it is, AF not due til 15th Feb according to MMC.
P.S Les Mis was fantastic last night. Gareth Gates was in it and surprisingly good. Therefore i missed this programme you are all talking about. is it repeated?0 -

Exactly. Gender roles are there to be broken. What if the little girls grow up to enjoy more masculine pursuits not favoured by mum? How will those feminine women cope with how their pink princesses evolve?
It has to be about their personalty, doesn't it? - I would be blessed with 2 children with enquiring minds, kindness, manners and sense of humour. That's it!
I understand the off-side rule, never planned my wedding can read maps, like a good scrap with my man;) and enjoy formula 1.
I also have pretty bras, go aww at kittens and like baking. I don't fit in to any typical gender role and don't want to so I don't understand the big desire for one or another. I'm definitely not made of sugar and spice and all things nice.
Inserts Blur's Boys and Girls anthem here....................>
If I'd got my alacarte kitchen and big yellow teapot in the first place, I wouldn't have needed to go out to the park and play football with my 2 older brothers and may have become a nice little lady legs.
And bread rolls are sometimes bin lids up here...but I'm crazy and call them, er,...rolls!0 -
