Can you believe how selfish she is crying at the scan because the baby is a boy and she wants a girl. I cant watch this anymore.

I caught a glimpse of that last night and had to switch off...I am extremely grateful for what I have (in some eyes perfect 2 boys and a girl) but I would never have a child just so I could get a perfect set.... I love both my boys and my little girl equally and yes its different parenting a girl as opposed to boys, but all my kids are wonderful (and infuriating sometimes lol) and it doesnt make a difference if they are male or female.I have had people say to me "oh you wont be wanting any more then...which is more becauce I have a girl after 2 boys rather than the amount I have" Its ridiculous its not like Esso tiger tokens! Collect 10 tokens and get a full set of kids! lol

I want a another baby cos I want a big family I may be mad but its what Ive always wanted...I couldnt care less what flavour the next one is I just feel theres a little person missing sometimes when we are all sat down for dinner or out for the day....rambling now but I feel sorry for the boys in these families to know that mummy and daddy didnt really want you they wanted a pink bundle to dress up *cue rolly eyes smiley*

    *gets off soapbox*

I want rollerblades more than skates i think ..... and a mr frosty ice making game

I *so* wanted a Mr Frosty! Never got one, nor a Big Yellow Teapot. I'm sure that counts as child abuse ;)

oohhh i am soooo jealous...i havent worn skates since i was 18 :)....i miss them so...i might have to take my kids the the roller rink on sunday :)..i used to go everywhere on my skates i even used to deliver my newspapers wearing them....it took some work getting up and down the stairs in the blocks of flats in them
sorry i am rambling but i miss my skate :(

Ramble away, OH was peeing himself laughing at me last night, the dog didn't know what to make of me and when I get outside on them I'm definitely wearing a helmet

Not far from me then at a guess. I'm in the East Midlands and you can just about tell what small town people come from around here by what they call bread rolls (which are cobs incidentally!;)) and also, whether they understand what you mean when you use the term 'mardy'!

Well I'm a Warwickshire lass by birth but lived close enough to [STRIKE]Concretetry[/STRIKE]Coventry to pick up some of the words in my vocab..

CD 22 of a normally 26 day cycle, feeling quite sicky and have a funny tum, but that's pretty standard, especially when I'm tired, and I was up at 6am this morning  (OH is doing a freestyle snowboarding course today and had to leave super early). Having the odd tummy pain, but a) that's kinda par for the course with me and b) I ate 1/2 a jar of Barry Norman's pickled onions last night, that may be the cause :o

Love and babydust you chatty lot :p xx

Not really I still really really want to but I drove myself mad last month SSing and took 4 tests all BFN's and got myself thinking that the tests were wrong and I really was pregnant then was gutted when AF showed up late....so this month Im thinking that I cant do anything to change it now so if I am it can wait a week or so...and if Im not then Af will show and I havent given myself any heartache lol

  • Retro I'd love a big family too but never in odd numbers(I'm one of 3 and don't recommend it:o), unfortunately for us, financially I think we'll have to stop at 2 but you never know, maybe in 10years we'll be able to accommodate more children:D Only when I've had at least 1 child will I know when my family will be complete.

    Anway,
I have a TTMC-related query (trying to make cake;))
Is the choc cola cake a good birthday cake option?
My dad is 60 in 2 weeks and I'm looking at cake ideas.

    Aw, Why?:(
Once of my biggest fears is not having a girl:o I have no idea why....possibly because DHs family is dominated by boys and we all know that they're the ones who create the sex of the baby, but I was brought up with girls so not having a girl in my immediate family would be weird for me...hence when I finally do get pg I will be having a scan to find out the sex just so I can get my head around it before baby arrives IYSWIM:o *Runs for cover* Running_Emote_by_world_in_flames.gif
    1.11.09 - debt = £45k:eek:
    [STRIKE]Car Loan = £0[/STRIKE] CCCS Total = £30,246.88 Total Debt Paid off - 32.78%
DFD [STRIKE]Nov[/STRIKE][STRIKE]Sept[/STRIKE]Aug 2018:o Only 75 payments to go:)
  • Fuzz I have a thing for odd number too hahah probably best for me to stop at 4 then (if I can) lol though OH is a bit worried that I will have a 4th then get broody again..then Id have to have another 2 (and he would have a breakdown lol).

Theres nothing wrong with having a preference to a certain sex we all do...and I found out the sex of every one of mine mainly because it helped me bond with them before they were born as I couldnt go a full 9 months not knowing what type I was having! Its women that keep on going having babies to get a certain type that I have a problem with...theres nothing worng with having 2 boys and saying I would like a third and hopefully its a girl but I will be happy either way...not having baby number 8 when all you really wanted was 2 kids just to "try for a girl" I cant understand that...maybe its just me!

  • i too would love a girl....but am quite happy with my 2 sons :)....i knew they were both gonna be boys even b4 the scan...i just had a feeling...its probably a good job as i only had boys name picked lol.

i dont get on too well with my mum and didnt growing up and i think thats one of the reasons id like a girl...i want to be her friend....help he get ready when (if) she gets married...and when she has babies. all the thing my mum forgets about. sorry it makes me sad lol but if we had another boy (if we can even get PG that is lol) id be very happy with that.

i do have a girls name picked out tho...even tho im sure taht will change...i like scarlet.....my sons are caleb and deacon...not usual run of the mill names but thats how i like it :D

 I'm so not talking to you! I bet you had an A La Carte Kitchen too!!

Fuzz - I agree with both of those statements. I'm the youngest of 4 (but with a big age gap between me and the others) And though I do want children I won't know how many until I've had one. And hey, if 1 is all I manage to get then so be it. I like to think at 28 I've got time to think about these things though! :o

And I know what you mean about girls. OH is one of 2 boys, and his extended family is quite evenly balanced m/f (though there are twins ) I'm one of 3 girls though, I only have a niece and my family is mainly composed of women. I would love a baby of any description, I just wouldn't want to be outnumbered by males in my own house (think of the mess!!) Plus I'm a bit OCD, so I'd have to know, what if you were convinced it was a boy and it was a girl. You'd have to deal with the trauma of the birth and then the psychological trauma of having your ideas upended..

I'm Leicestershire born & bred. I live in South Leicestershire now though so am very close to the Warwickshire border and only about 20mins from Coventry.

I have a think about odd numbers too, I cant even buy apples, carrots, banana's etc in odd numbers has to be even (I'm crazy I know!)...funnily enough it doesnt bother me with children though, I'd love to have 3 (god willing!).

Fuzz, why wouldnt you recommend 3 if you dont mind me asking? I'm one of 2 so am a bit naive in these matters!
