  • Morning ladies,

Well I need to come on here and vent. OH came home this morning and I was ready and waiting to BD as (I think) I'm due to OV anyday now. Anyway TMI, he couldn't 'stand to attention' if you know what I mean. I got really mad at him and called him useless (ouch). He said he can't just perform on command and I said he had to if we had any chance of getting PG.
Anyway, I'm realising that I totally over reacted and have probably left him feeling like half the man he was when he came home from work this morning. I feel awful. He'll be asleep now but I want to ring him to apologise. Also we need to BD again tomorrow morning and I'm scared I've put him off.

Anyway, vent over. Hope you are all ok. Jacobsmum - good to see you back. Hope all goes well at hospital..xx

Dusty my Oh sometimes has that erm "problem" usually when hes under too much pressure (from me!) I think I divulged a wee bit too much when it comes to ovulation etc and he feels under pressure to perform:o Though now Im on here I dont have to fill his head with stuff over like that I can come and let it all out at you lot! Mwahahah!

Welcome to the newbies hope your stay is short :)

My DH and myself are definately going to ttc this year but this thread has made me VERY broody!:D
I would ideally like to lose another couple of stones before we start but I do have a time frame in mind. The question I want to ask is when do I come off my pill (I am on Noriday POP)? I don't really want to fall pregnant right now but I want to give my body time to adjust .

When we were ttc the first time I fell pg within 2 months of coming off it (it was another POP-not Noriday).

Any thoughts/experience would be gratefully appreciated.

To everyone out there ttc good luck-I will continue to follow your progress and come out from lurkering (is that a word lol?!) when the time for me arrives and to everyone with BFP's congratulations!
Its up to you how you do it but general consensus is if you don't want to get pg straightaway come off the pill anyway and let your body get back to 'normal' and also track your cycles so you know whats 'normal' for you and then when you're ready, you're good to go so to speak:) HTH x

Dusty totally understand. My OH had a brief spell where he couldn't perform on command (well, finish the job actually) in November - I honestly think he felt pressured by me- I'd lost the romance element and was being so clinical about it all and he felt like a donor! I'm not saying that "we MUST do it tonight" any more...I'm just not tellling him when I'm oving so he feels less pressure and we put the love back into it too - well, for the first few minutes and then I just want it over so I can roll over and get into the foetal position, closing my cervix and trapping his tiddlers:rotfl:
And dusty- OH said the same thing. We now do it for the fun of it rather than when the "machine" said we should (the cbfm which I've stopped using). It kinda killed the romance, left him feeling only good for one thing and me feeling less like a desirable sexy woman and more like some sort of failing incubator...
SNAP:D:D:D I felt less than sexy and DH just couldn't 'stand' the stress I was putting him under hence we now rarely talk about ttc I just give him a few extra favours around the week leading upto OV so I know he has some fresh ones in there iyswim:o:p:rotfl:
