bled for two weeks after removal constantly, rang GP after two weeks, she prescribed progesterone to stop it, and "re-set" my cycle. Didn't take it though as am desperately sensitive to progesterone, makes me very very depressed in the artificial form. Bleeding stopped then AF after two weeks. Midwife recommended floradix or floravital, liquid iron supplement, doesn't cause constipation! Not cheap, though.

Thanks GFH - I'm trying not to look at too many stories on the web - not only is too much information not really a good thing but I dont think you really get a clear picture because I dont think many will say 'my fertility returned the moment the coil was removed and I conceived within 20 minutes' IYSWIM.

Wise not to look at the stories, TBH before I had it in I read a squillion horror stories and ignored them. There is no contraceptive without drawbacks, in my experience. But there are quite a few where the person got pregnant the night the coil was removed, so fingers crossed!
