Hi Retro Bluebell - sorry, I wasnt online much this weekend! - AF has definately arrived . Really annoying :mad:

I keep thinking that because Feb is a short month, I'm going to get to test earlier...doh! I should have learnt my lesson by now. I'm going to have to keep myself occupied to keep my mind off it!

im new here

My hubby and i have been trying to conceive for about 15 months, not all of that time actively.

Well i usually have a 5 week cycle after coming off the pill, but i had period cramps for 4 days and no period. Im due between friday just past and today really and no sign.

I dont have any pregnancy tests in the house so used an Ovualtion one, very quickly got a dark positive.

Any point getting a preg test you think?

Any help would be great

Hi Lil-Madwife & welcome - I dont really know anything about ovulation tests but I would do a pg test if I were you

lil-madwife, Hi and welcome.

I think you better get yourself a pg test as it sounds very promising as OPKs can be used to detect hCG hormone.

Talking about pg tests, can anyone recommend cheap tests that work quite well? I think I've heard people talk about 'strip's on here but I dont know what they are or where to get them from. Any advice would be gratefully received!

Murray sorry the old witch got you- I ordered my ovulation and pregnancy tests off ebay think I got 10 OP for a few quid and a couple of pregnancy ones for not much- if you have a home bargains or pound shop near you they do them too- they are supposed to be the most sensitive better than FR ones- but remember you need to pee in a cup (PIAC lol) with them not directly onto them. I can pm you the sellers id who I bought mine off on ebay if you want? they keep it all discreet so it doesnt show on your feedback or anything.

Fuzz you must have an iron will hun to wait til March!! Im desperate to test now and Im not due til Friday (have to sit on my hands cos I will not test til Valentines day!):p

Nowt much to report here today feel bleurgh though bit sicky and feel like Ive got cold- was flat out asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow last night (most unlike me) and woke up feeling like I hadnt slept at all- all signs that AF is on her way here- once again *humph*:(
