quaver, fanta and gts - thanks for your replies to my embarrassing question
I googled it after as well and I was really surprised to see I'm not alone in my question. It seems that the sperm leave the semen after about 15 minutes and make their way to the egg (or go the wrong way!) and what falls out after is pretty much just semen with the useless sperms!
gts - your OH has very valid points there! I've even heard of people getting pregnant where the bloke hasn't even ejaculated inside. Only take one strong sperm I guess.
slm6002 - :j congrats :j
balijay - :j congratulations too!! :j
primmer - I saw Ro last week at the Albert Hall (sadly not the Thursday where the rest of BZ turned up). I won't give anything away, but I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
CD12 for me. BD'd again last nightI'm getting good at this
Tonight we're having a rest (mainly cos I want to watch One Born Every Minute). Not ov'd yet. Temp still down. Plan to BD Wed, Thurs and Fri. No BDing Sat cos hubby will be working late and I'm out in the morning.
If I test negative on the 9th April, we're booking a holiday for the end of April. Otherwise we'll stay at home and finish the DIY! So this cycle will be a win-winShame I can't do that every month.
Baby Giz born 6/2/110 -
slm6002 - :j congrats :j
balijay - :j congratulations too!! :j
Wishing you a happy 8 monthsIf you can think it........it will happen0 -
Just popping by to say congrats to daliegha and balijay - happy pregnancies to you both.
Gizmodo - there's not much we can do about the ones that fall out - it's the gravity-defying sperm, the champion swimmers that are the ones that are important. I'm not sure even lying with your legs in the air after sex makes much difference. This is also the reason behind the old-wives tale that doing it standing up means you won't get pregnant. We Made-it-3 on 28/01/11 with birth of our gorgeous DD.0 -
Ah congratulations :T more on the list,
Well I don't know what's happening here but I am on CD35 usually AF on 31/32 so did a test this morning but only a very faint line appearedIs that normal??
How long should I leave it before doing another one if AF doesn't show?? Only having normal monthly sysmptoms at the moment sore boobs (again!!), feeling sick etc only difference is that I can't do the dogs dinner now as that made me sick!!!
Ohh I hate this time of month!!!! Hanging around waiting..............0 -

Congrats to Daleigha, balijay and SLM- christmas (ish) babies, lovely! Thanks for the info Giz. I'm hoping we DTD tonight but as it's the start of a busy week and we have a houseguest until Thursday, I'm not hopeful.
I've noticed now that there is blood so I'm guessing AF is here. I would estimate about a dolls house tea cup full but it is red so I think it's the witch.
!
Dols house cup full, very funny!
Lizzie - was it a faint pos line?
Nothing to report here, AF is on her way out and so doing it all again..!0 -
Yes it was, first there was nothing after the 3 mins so I got ready for work etc, picked it up to throw away and there was a faint line in the window!
Never had a faint line before so not sure about it. But then AF not normally this late either.0 -

Is that normal??
Which one did you use today? I prefer red dye, as I usually get a faint line with a blue one.
There's Clearblue digital which'll tell you either way much more clearly, but I'd hold off until tomorrow at least for that since it is not cheap, and not as sensitive;)0 -
Lizzie - Think if I was you i'd be doing a digi test - at least then its there in words. If you can wait until the morning to do it with FMU might be best but the decision is up to you!
Fingers crossed xx0 -
It was just a normal one out of tesco's last night, red dye one. I have always used these ones as when I was on the pill I very irregular and could go 3 months without AF so always a couple knocking around just in case but since coming off it in Aug09 I am back to being regular again.
I'll see if I can hold out and wait a few days before trying again but the temptation may be too great lol0
