CD19 for me and 6dpo for me. Ok, so Im supposed to be job hunting, but got waylaid by this site. Warning, it'll make your SS'ing 10 times worse lol

I found this site a few days ago. It is fasinating and it's reassuring to see that symptoms vary so much and in some cases are non-existent.

I notice a lot of people test really early. Is it really bad too? I read about chemical pregnancies and how an early test can come back positive but then later you're not pregnant cos of a chemical pregnancy.

Is this why you guys are advising to leave testing till after the AF due date?

Fuzz - I was going to ask how long your cycles are? When are you going to POAS then? Ive given myself until a day after AF is due. Ive also read that you can use OPKs as HPTs, but not to rely on them too much. Dangerous knowledge as I have a few OPKs knocking about :o
Cycles are around 34days so AF due tomorrow...I leave it a week til after AF is due to test to make sure she has plenty of time to show and also so I can psyche myself up to POASing........I find it quite traumatic not getting the result I want:( And I don't use OPKs but yes they can be used as a pg test although not recommended as I don't think they're always accurate?!

It is quite bad to test really early IMO as it gives you a lot longer to stress about things going wrong IYSWIM and there is also the factor of chemical pregnancies...it happened a while back to one of our graduates and she was obviously upset when it turned out it was chemical and if she hadn't known about it, would've put it down to heavier than normal AF...does that make sense?

another reason to not test early is it is just a waste normally, if you are pregnant you have a better chance of getting a BFP on a pregnancy test if you wait till AF is due or a few days late.

I normally test the day after AF is due because I'm impatient and I want to know. If I had more nerve I'd wait another week because like fuzz says its more time to worry till you get to 12 weeks.

Can I ask how you got your TA job? Did you do your PGC part time whilst doing your TA job?

I just applied via the local council. I did it for a year and then left to do my teacher trainning. My degree is in forensic psychology so there wasn't enough science in it to do a straight science PGCE. So I did a 2 year PGCE (year 1 - upped my subject knowledge in science, year 2 - normal PGCE year). I'm glad I did it this way though, I'm confident teaching all 3 science's up to GCSE rather that just being a specialist....makes me more employable!

There was a lady on the news last night who had had 18 MC before having her first baby. It turns out her natural Killer Cells were attcking the pregnancy instead of protecting it. So glad she has her baby at last, she must be so strong to have kept trying.

    Hi ladies
Been so overwhelmed at work not really had time to chat. You are all so chatty there's so much to catch up with :)

I'm feeling like I have PMT at the mo, flew off into a complete rage yesterday afternoon that I couldn't come down from, v tearful today, and I'm mainlining chocolate. I'm also bloated and minor cramps but I think that's the IBS from being so stressed. I'm not impressed by the constant spots and dry skin on my face. They're all round my mouth, and my hair is constantly greasy, I look like a junkie or something. I desperately need a hair cut as well, I'm avoiding mirrors for the time being as seeing myself isn't pleasant.

Thanks for the tip btw. I gave in and bought some of the first response tests on offer, my first ones! I also bought two creme eggs at the same time

Glad she had a baby at last, but would've been even better had she been diagnosed before the first mc;)
I know I'm getting ahead of myself, but are you guys planning on telling anyone before the 12 weeks? I want to tell people. I don't think I could keep it a secret that long.
I only told few people before 12 weeks, but it was good I didn't as I found out about my mc at 11 weeks;)
You do need to tell some people though, like OH:D
