Better still - seek the advices of a legal professional or visit the Citizens Advice BureauxDisclaimer - Info about the law is designed to help users safely cope with their own legal needs. But legal info is not the same as legal advice -- the application of law to an individual's specific circumstances. Although I go to great lengths to make sure my info is accurate and useful - please seek the advise of a lawyer before you act..

Actually, bureau is singular, bureaux is plural. Even so you are correct as CAB is one organisation. No Longer works for MBNA as of August 2010 - redundancy money will be nice though.

Went to the police again today officer still off sick may not return back to work, case will be allocated to another officer. i told the office that since reporting the incident to the police I have not heard from them, I was informed they have been in contact with the bank as they are the victim. Contact will be made with me by the police near the end of the investigation.
I contacted the Ombudsman to lodge another complaint as my debit card was taken by the machine Saturday 13th Feb 10, apparently the bank can do so but have tof wait 8 weeks until they have investigated, if I am unhappy then Ombudsman will take up the case.
I am next of kin on my mothers account which Barclays has also closed. I spoke with the fraud team today was unable to help as the case is now out of their hands and I should have received notification by now about the closure of my account, which I HAVE NOT.
Any information as to what I can do? I am totally lost going to the bank tomorrow, as I have returned items to take back to the hire shop, how will I get kmy deposit back with no card?

If you have not already done so get a new bank account so you can move on with your life. This other stuff will sort itself out - but it will take time.
In so far as your mother is concerned - she should have received notice not you. It's not common practice for the banks to go around closing peoples accounts without telling them.Disclaimer - Info about the law is designed to help users safely cope with their own legal needs.
