my only other hint, is to get a seat towards the front of the plane on the way out. If you're towards the back, what happens is that you end up behind EVERYONE when queuing up for immigration, and that wastes valuable time in NYC. When you get off, you walk briskly, and you're out of the airport in around 30 minutes (if everything goes to plan that is!)

Hi. it's me again my son loves basketball and is desperate to see a game.

the knicks are paying at MSG on 31st March, we arrive on the 30th. I have looked at Broadway box as suggested earlier. Do you think it's ok to book these just now, is there any chance it could be rescheduled.

I know it's early but it is something he really wants to do and I don't want to leave it too ong and not be able to get tickets.

Sorry probably be bombarding you with questions from now to March :D

ixia - KLM are one of the best Transatlantic Airlines, however there is a change you'll be flying Delta, but on a KLM codeshare too. Again, Delta are good.

As for Knicks Basketball, the official site for booking will be ticketmaster, not broadwaybox. Broadway box is great for theater, on and off broadway.

  • Ixia, I flew KLM in April - Liverpool/AMS/JFK. The staff were lovely, and never stopped feeding us! Headphones are free for watching films, and Schiphol is lovely to transit in. Only downside was that because of a 40 minute transition time at Schiphol on my way home, the luggage had to be delivered to me at home that evening. And it was a hell of a trek getting across the concourse - I saw a security guy on a segway.

thanks eileen that's good to know. The feeding part especially my son is constantly hungry. Shame about your luggage not so bad it was coming home though.

    I'm really excited, I know it's ages away but I can't wait.

Thanks M4RKM, I`ll check out Kayak for prices. Just read above about KLM flights from liverpool so will check that out as well as Liverpool slightly closer than Manchester.
I found Manchester to JFK via Shannon earlier on Expedia £521.41 but the return changeover time in Ireland is hours and hours!!

I`ll take a look at the hotels you have mentioned as well. I have been looking at Doubletree Guest Suites, Times Square and Hilton Garden Inn, Times Square.
