So I presume you have the Bugatti Veron then?
  • Polo, mainly because it seems to get great reviews all round and voted the best in it's class. I'm not sure about the reliability but have only really heard good things. And lastly, I just like the look of it.

Don't expect much more if you get him down to that price.

Why a Polo? VW's reliability is not as good as it once was.

Take a look at the Honda JAZZ and it is made in the UK

If I had the money yeah, but I wouldn't be seen dead driving around in the OAP carrier they call by the name of a Honda Jazz.
Everyones opinion is the most important.....no wonder nothing is ever agreed on.

What about a Skoda Fabia 3 1.4 16v, list price £12,580? I guess if part of your decision is based on looks it rules it out though :D

I very, very nearly suggested the same alternative earlier...unfortunately, I think it looks.....not great. So I couldn't bring myself to suggest it :o
It is a good call though if you don't mind the look - based on VFM and current deals (VAT-off discount, 0% finance for 2 years until end of Jan).

I always leave the price haggling until last, when I have got all the nice "goodies" thrown in - tax, MOT, full tank, valet, new mats. After all the goodies, I then start to go cool on the price, saying that I really like the car, but the price is a bit high.
Now, if the price was pretty close to what you wanted to pay in the first place, and you get all the goodies, plus a little bit extra off, then you are laughing.

Liking the look of a vehicle is one of the best reasons for buying it, how could anyone get excited about the looks of a Fabia.

Age old problem with the Jazz is 90% are driven by pensioners. Even my Mum likes it- and that is a problem :rotfl:.

When looking at a new car I forget all the gap insurance stuff and supaguard and look for the basics. I got 4/5 tank rather than a full one last time, but wasn't bad, also got all round mats which to you and me are £65 from a dealer on my used car. TBH it was lower than a lot of books would state for the car so I wasn't bothered haggling too much. Last new car my folks bought was full tank, 1st service free (always a popular one if they think they can retain your business), mats and boot netting. Think there was a modest £200 off, but the car was a special build so no big discount, but I think they did well.
