bg is a very good company and as a hole do a very good job and use the best engineers (all this costs money)can you get it cheaper ??the answer is proberly yes..would the job be as good ??normally i would say the job would not be as good ..(fact) i have like i said in other posts spent many years putting things right what plumbers do ...
It sure reads from your posts that you work for BG. I am hazarding a guess that you are one of the many temp or sub contractors they use driving around in BG van and uniform. Before you answer with a denial I know of at least one south london company who recruit people to do this work. It is a known fact that Vaillant have had problems with some of their units either melt the plastic or actually catch fire. I deal with many local authorities and social landlords and this is a problem I have seen at least 40 times.
BG are now no different to any for profit company, they just trade on peoples misconception in my opinion.
I am still of the opinion that you are wrong in many of your posts but if people want to take notice then that is down to them, I just hope that it will end ok and not in a mess.0 -
If Bg engineers are so good why did the kill those people with a powermax boiler?
this was after they attended 10 times and failled to spot the fault. There are some good BG engineers but there is a hell of a lot of bad ones also.0 -

i am wrong in many of my posts ?please show me and let me respond to the post where you say i am wrong.
life would be very boring if we all agreed on everything ..
london is a different kettle of fish than whats the norm at bg .but as your post says we have some sub contractors and i can tell you these can be hard work sometimes..i have not tried to guess where you work from why would you try with me ..but as you asked i have worked for bg about 20years and at the moment work 50% as an installer and 50% QAE and yes i do have a van .
as for the Vaillant coment i feel there a good boiler .i am aware of a number of problems with them and one of the problems was the seal which is also the same on some glowworm models as well .as far as i know this problem has been resloved by fitting a different seal ..we have a kit on most of our vans and if we go to one of these boilers we change the seal ..i cannot comment on what plumbers do and if they change the seal or not ..you are right the the inside of the boiler can catch fire i have also been to a number of these myself..but these are on older models and the current new boilers have different case seals ...
if you work for BG as direct labour you would no the truth ..bg spends a lot of time training engineers and keeping engineers upto date .
and as a hole i feel bg is a very good company ..X British Gas engineer and X BG sales adviser.

i am not aware of the case sorry ..
i would say most of the older engineers are very very good ..bg do make mistakes just like everybody else i have made mistakes myself over the years ...
the thing is if bg make a mistake everybody remembers ..
i am not here to support bg i am just here to tell the truth as i see it and help members of the public if i can ...X British Gas engineer and X BG sales adviser.
