Just found a cherry tree, Ideas please.

We live next to a church and I walk through the overgrown graveyard most days. Coming home just now I spotted a cherry tree full of lovely wripe cherries. Going to go back later on with a bowl and retreive some so need some ideas please on what to use them for. The obvious one is pies or preserves which I can do but other simple ideas would be great.

Many Thanks
Ice.

Stone them and simmer gently, with some sugar. Add a little butter and cornflour to your resulting liquid to thicken it a little.

Wrap dollops in pancakes and serve with ice cream.

I have two cherry trees in my garden. I'm just picking them, washing them and eating them. Might make a something if there is enough left.:o

I stewed mine with water and sugar, then stirred the mix into natural yoghurt and froze it.

    Cherry Brandy and cherry vodka.
Bottle with some sugar syrup and the alcohol. Keep them in the dark and give a jiggle each day. Great Christmas presents.
