    Debt-free and Proud!
Afternoon all, positive vibes to interviewees, healing vibes for injured/ill and flying vibes for everyone else.

Just passed on Pigpens lists from January to a sometimes flylady friend for her sister and she texted me with "Yikes, flylady's on a mission - I've got loads of catching up and sister maybe too scared " I'd warned her :rotfl:
Lemanie I hope your thumb is better now, how did you burn it?
lemanie ouch - hope it heals quickly

Thanks for good wishes - finger and thumb tips were already quite calloused and crusty (despite lots of cream) so when I was clearing out woodburner (thought it had gone out!) and found a log with a hot ember, it didn't really register, but the really thick skin blistered and then sloughed away despite a thumb guard or rubber gloves for wet jobs and the thick skin from round edges keeps bleeding - most inconvenient :( and very messy looking but improving slowly.

Back to decorating, now. Spent 40 mins looking for caulking gun in garage yesterday despite it being very tidy in there (honest Pigpen :D) so didn't get as much done as I'd hoped  (not so DH after that, I can tell you!)

Have a good weekend and keep warm

    Mel x

Toots your list of up to 35 frightens me. My psychologist told me no more than five things on my list to do each day so I do flying as one, then add others in groups! I think that is cheating.
lemanie Your poor thumb and finger sounds painful, hugs and hope they are better soon.

All broken and obsolete electricals have gone to recycling centre. I am so pleased to have got rid of them all.

I have about 40 old broken cds to dispose of, if anyone knows a way to recycle I would be grateful for ideas.

ETA 2 bathrooms done! one to go!

Back from my cleaning session on the bathroom... ah! that looks better now...

Thursday ~ Bathroom & Toilet Please can I have a star, Toots? :j:j:j
    Level One..
[STRIKE]Clear and mop the bathroom floor[/STRIKE] I did this by hand with an microfibre cloth in the end, because I thought it was looking dingy despite the mops it has been getting. What a difference that made!
[STRIKE]Clear and wipe window sill[/STRIKE] Did all the tiled sink surrounds and oiled the wood (velux window, so no sill)
[STRIKE]Throw away all the empties and put the new toiletries in the bathroom in the correct places! [/STRIKE] Big time!
    Level Two
[STRIKE]Wash any shower curtains/bath mats that are in need [/STRIKE] Windolened the shower screen
    [STRIKE]shine the taps!
    Clean shower/bath/loo/basin/bidet etc[/STRIKE]
    Level Three
    [STRIKE]Empty bins etc from upstairs
Wipe and defluff radiator.. in front and behind
Polish mirrors[/STRIKE] and clear a shelf or two Shelves looked fine, so I did some extras instead...

    Extras
    1. Wash any windows in these rooms that need it
    2. Binbag dance
    3. [STRIKE]Disinfect the toilet brush.. they are disgusting things! [/STRIKE] I once went to a wake where people were deciding who got what of the possessions left in the house. There was nearly a fight over who got the peach-coloured plastic loo-brush...:eek::eek::eek::eek: I just couldn't believe it... I mean, your own is bad enough... but someone else's??????? GROSS!!!
    4. [STRIKE]Replace toothbrushes or sponges as necessary![/STRIKE] Changed all the towels and flannels and put them in for an o/night wash
    5. HHI..
Took me a bit longer than usual, because I fumed for a while at the shower-head. It's one of those starburst thingies that hangs down overhead and gives you a "mountain-stream deluge". Except that, one by one, the little holes in the starburst have got scaled up, so it's more like a beck on the blink... :D So I got some descaler and tried to work out how to squirt this stuff upwards into the starburst.... without gravity carrying it downwards onto me....

    Another ditzy moment, no? :rotfl:

Then it occurred to me: the damned thing unscrews, dunnit?:p
    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

So I've unscrewed it (and earned myself an unexpected drenching from a mountain deluge in the process - fully clothed, that is.... ). And I've soaked it in a sink of warm water with descaler in. And then poked all the little holes with a pin to get the caked-on stuff out....

It felt a bit like taking the shower-head to the hygienist... :D

It even works again now! (I tried it - not quite fully clothed this time....)

So I think I have earned my star this morning. Must finish off the lasagnes and have some food; then school run....

    Hugs to all

still trying to declutter the spare room.
How did I accumulate(SP) so much stationary and craft stuff. Its going to take an AGe to get sorted in there.
Just had a phone call from a lovely lady on freecycle, getting a single bed to put in there for DS1, so with some hard work and determination we should have the room ready for him to move in there by the end of the weekend/early next week.:T He's going to be so chuffed!!:T

Anyhoo, better get back to it I suppose or it'll never get done!

Freecycle them as people who have allotments love them - they string them up to frighten off the birds who are after worms

pooh honey the difference is my list is ongoing - its not for a day - :eek:it would knacker me!!!!!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: well done getting rid of all the obsolete stuff - its great to see the space when its gone. CDs, some people use them as coasters, or on bits of garden to scare birds and cats (apparently they dont like the reflections) cant think of anything else but will try.
lunch carer was a bit early but I am back on track - still waiting on fridge defrosting - have put some of the shopping away
