Welcome back michelle
Pen pen - hugs - they're just bullies don't let them get you down xxxx
Boddy - it may have been a hectic morning but just think - that neighbour has gone and you don't have to put up with her anymore xx. I hope the cat is OK
MissHiggerty - well done on your first day at your new job.carlsberggal wrote: »Soappie - I've been remiss and not wished you well on your course. But WTG you on passing - gordons all round?! I'm having a drink as we speak.
No worries love about not realising I was on a course, you've a lot on your plate at the moment. I would phone up the loan company tomorrow and see what they have to say about that clause and then consider the small claims court if the company really does go TU.
My training course was a 3 day one in Bristol. When I worked out my expenses (travelling time and mileage are claimable:D) I have driven for 17.5 hours and 480 miles in the last three days. And learnt stuff on top. I currently have matchsticks propping my eyes open and when I went to bed last night, in that sort of half doze you go into before you drop off into sleep, I kept seeing road in front of me and jerking awake because I thought I was still driving!
I even had to resort to drinking coffee about 1.30 this afternoon to stop me falling face down on the table into a deep sleep. I think the last cup of coffee I had was at my sister's wedding last August! It did the trick mind..
The course was initial training to be a social research interviewer. Hours to suit - evenings and weekends etc. but, obviously, with targets to be met. Another strand to my portfolio.
Gordon is tasting divine this evening. I have been soooo good, I haven't had a drop of alcohol from last Sunday night until about half an hour or so ago. I have tomorrow booked off work so I'm going to sleep in and then catch up with some flying.I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

Yeah I've finally done for today - please may I have another star? Just having a sit down and nice cold drink while watching Martin - I'm presuming its my bedroom tomorrow and since we can't actually see the carpet I think it may be a busy day.0

Basically DH signed up for an electricians course to be done at home/on line/and at a college down south after each module he has finished for a week at a time. It was over two years, advisor who came out to see him signed him up for a barclays loan for over £5000 to cover the course costs (2 year course). Today he has had the following e-mail sent to him:
It is with the very greatest regret that I have to write to you to tell you that having tried our very best we have been unable to secure ongoing funding for the company and accordingly as matters currently stand we are unable to continue to provide your training.

He's looked up his advisors telephone number but there's no number or name to be had on any of his paperwork! He was nearly at the end of the 1st module. So we need to know about the loan and where we stand as obviously he can't/won't be able to finish the course.
!!!!!! I/we could weep. Just something else to be added to the long list of 'surely nothing else can go wrong'
Don't EVER EVER EVER say nothing else can go wrong because it will just to prove you wrong.. say 'bring it on I can deal with this' .. One step at a time you can!!
It'll sort somehow.. I'd be ringing the bank to see where you stand.. maybe barclays will be nice and let you have some kind of other loan and switch it over so he can continue...... if they won't maybe someone else will!! That is what I'd be looking at now I think.I'm home. I have passed my training so it's Hello Gordon!
Pigpen - thank you for the brilliant lists again so far this week - how do you always know where my worst rooms are each week?? (I've searched everywhere for spycam)

fibre optics!! They way of the future! Peeping Thomas's friend.
We've had very sad news today.. one of DD1's friends died last night.. she had cystic fibrosis and had a lung transplant 4 years ago.. in Nvember she got a chest infection and caused her body to reject the lungs and she just went to sleep last night and didn't wake up. Poor love was only 17.. Isn't life just crappy. It doesn't even bear thinking about losing a child like that. Her other friend is going into school tomorrow to 'say goodbye' she has terminal leukaemia and maybe a few weeks or so left apparently. Funerals are not the place for young girls.. it simply isn't right.
Anyway.. before I set myself off wailing... I'll go slap some boys and do you lot an evil listLB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Cheers soappie - you've certainly desrved it. Wish I/we had a day off tomorrow cos the speed I've drunk 3 of lagers is obsence! LOL Hey ho - onwards and upwards x
My friend has just made me laugh and said can't we just keep the baby and get DD2 to live on her own with her being soooooooooooo hormonal/difficult to live with at the best of times. She has more to cope with than us with having her mum who has alzheimers (sp?) living with herTo love and be loved is the greatest happiness of existance - Sydney Smith0 -
sending you lots of <<hugs>> to Pigpen, your daughter, her friends and their families x0

Big hugs Pigpen for all concerned with the death of DD's friend - how awful.
Soappie, nice you have got a day off tomorrow and glad that you're enjoying GordonCongratulations on passing your exam :T
Carlsberggal, glad you're enjoying your lagers my dear! You sure you want to keep the baby and not let DD keep him/her lol?:) Sorry to hear about all the grief DH is going through; think I'd try the Citizens Advice Bureau to see if they could point me in the right direction.
Miss H, many congrats on surviving your first day at work; sounds great!
Rosepink, sorry to hear you have a cold - I always try to kick it into touch with paracetamol and hot drinks but the beginning of a cold is always grim. Have a nice warm bath and an early night maybe?
Can I thank you for all your hugs and, once again, for all your support. Tomorrow is a new day and it just CAN'T be as bad as today (got home from school run and the dog had peed on the carpet !) but the kids are in bed, DH is out, I'm quickly going to tidy the kitchen and then sit down and knit the other sleeve for DS's jumper.
A big round of applause for the lovely Flyladies :T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T
