Mumof2 what a horrible day you are having - well stuff the cleaning - do something nice instead and thats an order!!!! glad the airport run has been resolved.(((hugs)))

I wasn't going to do the bathroom as you saw, but after Polly saying she always feels better when the house is clearer that made me think let's just do it - so I did - Thursday all done please Toots xx

Got tears at home as DD had trouble with 2 boys in her class - they were awful to her and had to write an apology letter. I'm mad  but obviously have to leave it to the teachers to deal. Poor DD :(

Evening All :hello: (that always sounds a bit policeman-ish I think!)

Anyway - I am home. Finally - finished work kinda on time (only 10 minutes late) and went to the dentist-person who makes the ceramic crowns. Did I tell you all last week after my fall down the stairs I had to go to the dentist cos my crown was wobbling? Unrelated to the fall though - little one and I were playing and he knocked me in the face

Anyway, I have insurance so the good news is I dont have to pay for it, but the bad news is they stuck two big huge needles in my face!!!! The ceramic guy will make the new one and it should be back with my dentist on Tuesday he said.

Anyway, it is kinda flying related cos it was the important appointment I had to make!!!

Im going to do a HHC before I sit down and have tea, cos Ive been absolutely burnt out the last few days.

    Anyone else for 17.30 - 18.00????

LW (((hugs))) for your pain - try to forget about previous experiences and think how important this is to have done pet - I know its easier said than done but its for your own good - regarding repeat prescriptions - I oder mine online with the surgery, Boots picks up the scipt and then delivers them to me - could you try something like that?
I use Superdrug, and my surgery doesn't have an arrangement with them, unfortunately. I don't want to change, because a) I get on well with the pharmacists, and b) they make a point of keeping my rather unusual atti-depressant in stock.
I do order the meds online though, so I only have to go ansd pick up the scrip and get it filled.

It does give me a chance to get out of the house, though; if I didn't go and get things like this, and have Mr LW drive me to the supermarket rather than order online, I'd never leave the house at all.
I dont mean to be bad to dogs but *KICK* for all the BD's around - open the door and shoo them outside - they are not welcome here.
Too right. I keep trying to feed my BD a sleeping draught, but so far it hasn't worked.:(
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

hello pooh:):) hope your snow is melting fast and you are getting back to normal there xxxxxx

Yes thank you toots. I can get out now but of course still can't drive until I have seen the eye specialist. It is fantastic going out again. Also feeling a bit more positive but still decluttering and sorting a bit manically. How are you doing? I am glad you like your new nurse. It is really important to be able to get along well:)

I need to finish my bathrooms. This will be done whilst cooking dinner, but not as bad as it sounds as I have my helpers!

I think I’m getting DH’s cold, I’ve got that soggy nose/dry throat/tickly cough/headache/need a wee feeling you get. Great, just in time for our weekend away! Typical eh! LOL

I’ve spent an hour poking a hanger into the shredder to unclog a lump of paper that was jamming it – I’m proud to say that I’ve got it working again! Yay! Go me! :j

I also spent 5 mins last night sorting out the shelf of doom, and it’s looking quite a bit better already. Will do a bit more later :T

Been to the doctors for blood test results (all fine) and I’ve booked my smear for the end of Feb to get my holidays out of the way

Have a lovely evening everyone xx

  • Hi my lovelies -sorry to go off post but wonder if someone could point me in the right direction to get advice. Basically DH signed up for an electricians course to be done at home/on line/and at a college down south after each module he has finished for a week at a time. It was over two years, advisor who came out to see him signed him up for a barclays loan for over £5000 to cover the course costs (2 year course). Today he has had the following e-mail sent to him:

It is with the very greatest regret that I have to write to you to tell you that having tried our very best we have been unable to secure ongoing funding for the company and accordingly as matters currently stand we are unable to continue to provide your training.
    >
    > Arrangements are being made for an insolvency practitioner to be appointed and I am sure you will be hearing from him. No doubt you will want to discuss the position with him or an adviser.

He's looked up his advisors telephone number but there's no number or name to be had on any of his paperwork! He was nearly at the end of the 1st module. So we need to know about the loan and where we stand as obviously he can't/won't be able to finish the course.

!!!!!! I/we could weep. Just something else to be added to the long list of 'surely nothing else can go wrong'

Hi everyone and hugs for so many of you: Jinks (good to see you xxxx), Mumof2, ragz, Sarah, Diva and of course Toots and LL. And anyone else I've missed xxxx

I've been out on my first day back at work - for 13 years! :T

Really nervous, but it went unbelievably well. It's only a small research job 1-2 days a week, not much money, but everyone was so friendly and happy and the stuff I'm researching is what I've been working on privately, just for kicks, for years. So to get an official post (however small) is like a dream come true.

I'm kitted out with a parking permit, swipe card, library access, e-mail address, remote access and a share of a desk for my weekly visits. Back in again next Thursday, but with a small amount of work to do at home in the meantime.

So tomorrow I will get my head round.... cleaning the loo :rotfl::p:p:p

Ah well...! Back to reality with a bump, eh? :D I must get more than *one* star this week, having got all 5 last week. :o

    MissH
    xxxxx
p.s. I ditched the stockings and went out looking a great deal more sober and respectable.... :rotfl:

ETA: Carlsberggal that's awful news. I wish I could help, but I'm sure others will be able to. Citizens Advice Bureau?
