and I LOVE stationers...I can spend HOURS in staples etc...and my heart leapt with joy when a Paperchase opened in Meadowhall (near W H Smiths ;)) because until then I had only seen their wares in magazines...
Drools, I love Paperchase. And in fact all stationers. If I was a rich woman I would buy the entire contents of Paperchase! Notebooks are my downfall and pens...oooh, I've just remembered I've got a £12 Amazon voucher...

Hugs Boddy, what a palaver, but at least they are being evicted so hopefully you will get nicer neighbours soon

NuttyRockeress I hope your back is better soon

WaltzingMathilda hope the funeral goes well, hugs

    Valli, funny story!

Hugs Intastellar it sounds like a very frustrating situation. What does GF think? Is she annoyed by his mess?

Hugs Ruth, hope your mum is ok. I would be spitting feathers if my mum was in hospital for two weeks and nobody had told me!

    Hugs PenPen

Love and hugs to Lady Liberty and Diva - you know where I am if you need to talk, either of you xx

Am up early (well early for me) cos DH was coughing like mad, poor boy. He's still in bed. I don't know whether to risk going to get some breakfast or not, don't want to wake him up but am starving! Will leave it a bit longer I think.

What do you need? Pens, notepads, notebooks or all three... parcel can be on it's way to you as soon as you say the word :p:D

Ive not had much sleep and neighbour been back round. She was asking to lend money to get to where she is going. This was at 5.30am.
I hope you told her that you don't keep cash in the house (I have to do this with the addict next door... I've also had to tell her I've given up drinking otherwise she tries to come in and 'borrow' vodka).
Good morning everyone  Been MIA, with a combination of being realllllllllllllly busy, and a small amount of not coping :(

Jinkster - don;t you dare run away from here - we're your friends and this thread will be a poorer place without you. Consider yourself told :p :kisses3:
That last applies to BOTH of you. You're both model flyladies (even if jinky's recent conversion has been something of a surprise :p:p:p ... I know you're watching :D) so even if the rest of MSE is getting you down we need to see you here to inspire us. I hope you can get things sorted out Penny... I really don't understand why people feel the need to abuse BGs - they seem to forget that a. you're volunteers, b. you're human and (just occasionally ;)) fallible, and c. this is the internet... it's not real life... and they can always log off/switch off/do something else.

Anyway... I've overslept, but managed to sort out and eat breakfast (oops... just realised I haven't eaten it all!), unload the DW and put stuff away. I've got some laundry to go on and then want to walk up to the post office as I need some exercise before the six hours of teleconferences we're having again today. The study should be spotless by the time they're over... just need to work out how to get the rest of the house done...

Just posting so I don't get out of the habit as that's just dangerous!

ETA looks like I'm not going to get much done today, best mate's coming over for coffee and she's quite upset so it'll be a depressing morning (those kids in the news yesterday went to nursery with her two youngest...)

  • Hi guys.

Popping in to say Hi and to rejoin if i may. I have been getting better at doing stuff for the past few weeks as my DS2 is getting such a big boy now and starting to play quite nicely with DS1. It means i can actually get some things done on a daily basis.

I'm not going to try and be too perfectionist about it and then get downhearted and leave again. The plan is to tackle 'something' every day. Get the kids to help where i can. That's why i am not waiting till Monday to start.

It is a lovely day here today, and my plan is to head out this afternoon to my sisters so i will make sure i do something this morning.

    Jobs:
    • repack nappy bag to go out
    • deal with pile of shredding
    • order Mums magazine online
    • empty kitchen and bathroom bin, put bin out for collection
    • finish boxing outgrown clothes for loft
    • go to netto
    • visit sister
    • pop into old workplace to get a form signed.
    • go and get prescription for sister
    • make some goodies for the kids
    • do some ironing if i get chance
