  • Piggers - Have some milk if you have nothing else in at the moment.

Dustykitten - Just noticed you have the peppermint gaviscon - not sure how much peppermint it has in it because, although peppermint can help indigestion it is really bad for reflux. My doctor once gave me peppermint tablets as a way of controlling my ibs - and it wreaked havoc with my reflux.

Not really doing well at all with any lists this week. At work for 6.45am today (DS1 needed to be at the paper shop by 6.30 and there was no point going back home) and never stopped until 4.45pm. I was home in time to grab a sandwich and a coffee (hadn't had food since 6.20 and drink since 8.30) just before DS2 was home. We grabbed a bag of stuff for him and went straight to his Nan's who looked after him during DS1's parents' evening, which went well. Walked home with DS1 sometime after 7pm, made tea for me and him, then gave DH + friend (who can't walk) a lift to the club. Have just had another cuppa and some cake while reading back a couple of pages.

I would so love to go to bed now, but have got lots of stuff to do. A couple of e-mails for work, some forms for DS2's new school (his first 1/2 day tomorrow), sort clothes for tomorrow and finally do the first part of DH's tax return. I really resent doing it. His record keeping is rubbish and I hardly get a thank you.

There is still bedding drying on the airer, so I'll put the next load on at bedtime. More bedding. DW running daily and I saw to bins this morning, but not much else done.

    MACAW:
Drink enough water - did better yesterday, but failed miserably again today

    5-a-week challenge:
find instructions for gas fire so I can make an appointment for engineer to come back
get e-mail for the guy who caused the accident and send him the quote
advertise stuff on freegle/local free ads when my laptop finally starts to talk to the wireless router
finish DH's tax return - will start tonight
sort new TD - friend's DH is taking me to costco on Friday

Note to self: must learn the lesson that much of this current stress is caused by not doing stuff on time when time is actually available, but I just CBA. :o

Will try to get on here tomorrow. Huge hugs to anyone who's suffering in any way.

sorry only just got on here today, went to dd3's college for a facial, :Tthen got home and had to take dd2 to work. Just before I had to walk up the road to collect the younger ones off the coach, dd1's bf turns up, she has only gone and dumped him by text:mad:. There are times when I could cheerfully throtle dd1, now is one of them:mad:. Any how's get to the bus stop, and hear that the coach will be late has it's been involved in an accident. No one was hurt, I think the driver was more shaken than the kids. In fact I don't think the kids where that bothered at all. From what I have heard our coach driver was'nt to blame. So the day started quite well, facial was very relaxing. Can't say I was to relaxed by the end of the day though.:(

We are watching Midsummer Murders which had a hilarious beginning! I love that program!

Am worried about my friend, she is having her 14th op tomorrow in 5 years and hopes she won't wake up after it. It's frustrating because she's been depressed for years but she won't accept help. I've just been keeping her in my prayers and sending her encouraging text messages. It wears me down too much if I spend time with her so I have to keep my distance, but do worry about her. Anyway, hopefully this op will help and she won't need anymore. I hope so

    Evening everyone.

Been out all day so just the dailies done. Come home tonight and had a to do 2 999 calls because of next door. She is being evicted tomorrow. Only told her son tonight. He has threatened to kill her and torch the house. He went off then rest of family came and created. Police looking for him and just been told he is at bottom of the street. My daughter came and all mayhem for a while. Family wanted stuff out.Police just been here to say they have spoken to him and they are quite sure he will not be back tonight. Sorry its off topic. Will catch up with the thread and have a cuppa.

While trapped in my study I have:

sorted out my physio bill to send to health insurance company to pay
sewed a button on a cardigan that's been lying around for months
sorted random work paperwork into files ready to go through and write up

There is still some way to go, but the room is a lot clearer... it might even be possible to clean it sometime soon! I'm being pretty brutal with what I get rid of - I just don't know where all this stuff comes from.

I have washing folded for ironing tomorrow, and will make sure I have a list of what I need to achieve during the 6 hours of teleconferences I will have to sit through then. Like Mrs C I suspect that I could avoid a lot of problems by doing the stuff as it comes up.
