I've discovered that my drawers come out so have brought one into the LR so I can cut some wrapping paper to line all three of them. Sounds extravagent to have 3 drawers for underwear and pjs, but they are small! Hopefully I will be able to fit my stuff into just two when I've had a sort out and then can use the 3rd for something else.

I'm frustrated today because I feel so tired but going to try really hard to do another little bit of washing up as well as the drawers before DH gets home. Even if I just wash up 2 things that's better than nothing.

Mudbath the new job sounds really good! Well done

Cycling Yorkie and Miss Jelly I hope your colds are better soon

    It's been a long day.

Mudders - congratulations sweetie. Somebody else on here was thinking of jacking their job in and doing what you do - I can't remember who though but I think their name began with an A

Greenbee - I'm intrigued! Think I want some Porselanosa ones but I've changed my mind so many time. They are for inside a shower plus I need a splashback

Flying - I've emptied the WM
The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair
  • Rose - stop beating yourself up! Little and often is better than nowt IMO! Have you given Toots suggestion any thought about asking MIL to help from when you mentioned it a few months ago? x

Mumof2 – Thanks for tip for shiny taps and sink – where can I get stardrops from – I notice it is used in a lot of these tips. Can I also ask how you did the blinds? I have vertical blinds and when I was doing the windows I noticed how filthy the actual blinds are.

I sprayed the blinds with Star Drops, white vinegar and water in a spray bottle, left a bit and then wiped with a damp microfibre cloth. Took ages but they look so much better and I know that next time it'll be much easier.

Mudbath, many congratulations on the new job :T

Tomato, I'm a big fan of the microfibre cloths and have got 3 for 91p from Mr T value range

Poppy, KH is living up to his abbreviations isn't he. You have every right to be mad - the cheek of him

Pigpen, now you've got me wanting Skips too :p - I'm trying (vainly) not to eat so many and Kettle Chips are my real downfall.

Had a good afternoon walking the dog; it was so lovely and bright and a pleasure to be out although it was cold. Then went around to a friends for a cup of tea and chat and just picked DD up from French Club. We're having my 1 non-OS tea tonight (fishfingers and chips) but am having OS style meals right through until a week's time :T! The reason for f&c is I don't have food in - the shopping is coming tonight at 8 (I hope!)

I never though the day would come when I was excited about using a cleaning product, I don't know if I should hang my head in shame or be proud of the new cleaner me/house???

LOL I'm the same, I'm even worse when my customers get new cleaning supplies, I'm like ooh ooh ooh :j :D it's great giving them a shopping list and they pay and they magically appear the next week :D luvvit!

Right, after sleeping most of the afternoon :o I got round to doing littleys room, all back to normal now :A kitchen tbh has a good clean every day when I S&S, I wipe everything down so doesn't really need a specific day anymore, that's a good thing yeah? that's the point of the thread? It gets mopped every other day particularly in this weather, and swept/hoovered everyday sometimes a few times. But I feel like a cheat if I claim a star so I wont. My house is practically empty with all the flinging and I've formed new habits which only took me 3 yrs lol but I got there, littleys room was the final room to sort and that was pretty much done a couple of weeks ago when I did THE BIG FLING!! I feel like I've finally cottoned on how to run a tidy, clutter-free, clean house. :T

Feels like I should have a point but I don't really, unless it's to say particularly to new poeple, hang in there, it happens eventually, and I hope it doesn't take 3 yrs like it did me :D x

    Congrats mudders xx

    Since school run

    Food is in the oven.
Collecting stuff ready for when D comes to get it
    WM reloaded
    TD reloaded
DD2 loaded the DW.. sometimes she is just wonderful, she wasn't asked he just did it.
1 carriers of clothes, more carriers and craft stuff and 2 dolly prams with accessories sent off to nursery.
2 binbags dropped off at charity shop

See... I have done a small amount today.. amazing what you can achieve on 5 hours sleep when 15 hours leave you even more exhausted than you were before!

    Left to do

count money when D gets back
refill collecting bag (my stepdad runs a window cleaning business and they have gone away this week so we have to get it done.. it's only 5 days and requires no moving so it's fine)
Wash cloths for D for tomorrow morning.

    Load DW again
    S&S worksurfaces
    Sweep kitchen

    Tomorrow..

LETTER IN TO SOLICITOR!!! I meant to take it yesterday and just this moment remembered about it!

I'm too ashamed to let her see how messy it is here. But I think I need to overcome my pride like Toots said. I will set myself a deadline to try and make things better and if I don't make reasonable progress by then, I will definitely ask MIL to help me. I will give myself until halfway through next month, that gives me a couple of weeks.

Have washed up and found some nice wrapping paper to do the drawers. Also done a teeny bit of sorting - it's so hard to know if something is good enough to go to charity or should be recycled. I think I will put it all in the recycling bin and they can decide what to do with it.

Hi all, busy, busy work week again interspersed with some more intensive training courses....it's copable with.

Yesterday did some flying late on in evening, managed to declutter kitchen, do DW, wipe dwn and bin lots of stuff again.

Need to sort tea out but I'm not in the mood, must pop to shop for supplies.

Mudders, great news re job offer. xx

I'm still having the car dilemma, I really don't know what to go for...not even the type of car, never mind how/what to pay for it, got some to spend, still agonising re debt, finace, loans etc.....argh.

Two 'givens', I hate putting petrol or diesel in so fuel efficiancy is a biggie and I like space/room. Any suggestions, I'd prefer an automatic too as an energy conservation exercise.
