Weekly Flylady Thread 25th January 2010

Too late to claim any stars but this is what I achieved this week:

Monday ~ Kiddies rooms/Spare rooms/Additional reception rooms
Level One
Declutter and vacuum floors!
Strip and wash bedding/throws/curtains
Level Two
[STRIKE]Binbag dance[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Clear out a whole cupboard.. clothes, toys or just junk.. whichever needs it most![/STRIKE]
Wash 2 windows
Level Three
Clean paintwork.. don't forget tops of frames and doors!
Find 5 things to ebay/charity shop and list/take them straight away!
Empty and wash out bins

Extras

1. [STRIKE]Clean out any pets/poo trays etc[/STRIKE]

[STRIKE]Catch up on important phone calls/chase appointments
Empty and clean out your handbag/coat pockets.. wherever you stuff your purse and receipts!

Tuesday ~ Kitchen, Utility and Dining areas - Done but think I forgot to claim my star - dur!

Wednesday ~ Living/Family/Reception room
Level Three
Polish any glass.. screens, pictures, ornaments mirrors etc

Thursday ~ Bathroom & Toilet
Level Three
Empty bins etc from upstairs
Wipe and defluff radiator.. in front and behind
Polish mirrors and clear a shelf or two

Friday ~ Master Bedroom
Level Two
Sort through one of the boxes of gibble
Vacuum floor and under the bed
Sort through the bedside cabinets
Level Three
Tidy the clothing.. wardobe/COD
HHI.. so you have some more to put away lol
Tidy the airing cupboard

Not bad I suppose, but really going to try hard this week.

Just realised I've not been on today to tell you I'm ok, sorry! Hope everyone is well. I've not caught up, need to read from p.65 onwards.
We went out today and had a lovely lovely time, and then I came home and slept, and then when I got up had to help DH make dinner cos he's still got his headache. We are both sitting here half dead this evening! But I'm really glad we went out, it did us good, and we got lots of encouragement and learned interesting things about the Bible. It was so lovely seeing lots of our friends, really wonderful day.

I know how clean it is to how we have been in the past - I can smell the bleach on my hands still - and that's after a bath :rotfl:

I love the lists given and the levels - I haven't even been tempted to cheat and miss something out or say that I have done something when I haven't - i've turned a corner. I never thought I would spend my Sunday up the ladders cleaning over the tops of door frames and such like.

You are all really a lovely kind bunch and I am so glad I found this place, I too will be a domestic godess - regardless of who around me thinks what, so long as I am happy and DH stops sneezing

sweety this is a step child ... it's probably his version of tact IYSWIM - sometimes they cannot bring themselves to say the nice things they should be able to...and maybe he's being a bit defensive of his mum - he won't want you to be better then her IYSWIM...even if you are ...which would appear to be the case;)

I may have thrown out everything else but can't yet bring myself to get rid of old bank statements and bills... although I may well change my mind now I can use them to light the stove!)

I've managed to catch up on a bit of work... all my notes for fixing the piece I was collaborating on are in the document ready to work on tomorrow and talk through with my mentor. Off to find the new thread now...
