  • I don't know, perhaps i'm being over sensitive (insert confused smiley here)

He will be 16 this week. I know he is going through it as his mum is due to have a baby this week (long story) and he's not overly impressed about that. Plus he's an untidy little wotsit and would live in his own muck if he wasn't reminded to tidy up after himself - hence the post on FL earlier this week that he is old enough to keep his own room tidy - plus he practically lives in the dining room when he is here on his xbox and laptop.

Thanks for the comments TOOTI and HEX, you bought a few tears to my eyes, I really am trying and really happy that things are going so well - i'm one of those people that seek reassurance and praise almost so that I know i'm going in the right direction, especially with me being mrs CBA to clean for the last goodness knows how many years runnig.......
It's nice to be nutty but's more important to be nice

    QUOTE]

Just tried to find a suitable 'hugs' smilie, but in vain. It's a horrible situation to be in. I keep hoping that mine will eventually find someone else, but no such luck so far. I think he knows when he's well off. :(

I hope you can get things sorted. Maybe make a list of reasons for kicking him out versus reasons for not doing it and see which one is longer/has the more important points on. In the meantime, take good care of yourself.

(((hugs))) for nutty - he's a boy. Ignore him - for at least the next 30 years.

Passport application done online, so just have to wait for the form to arrive, sign it, and remember to put the money in the envelope with my old passport to return.

    Now... bath or work?

  • nutty he sounds like a regular teenager so try not to take his comments to heart - and like you say he is not over pleased about the new baby so he is not in the mood to give compliments.
You have been doing really well and should be proud of your achievements and others will comment - just you wait - you could always take before and after photos and post them on here so we can tell you how good it looks

    all this talk of men....

I'm a sucker for George Clooney and Colin Firth but my guilty secret is John Craven :rotfl::rotfl:

    .
John is one of mine too:D:D:D
:wall: I'm really sad, i've really been trying to clean our house and try to fly as much as possible as cleaning doesn't come natural to me and it's never been something that I Can BA to do as i'd rather be doing other stuff, however this week, I feel like I am really starting to enjoy it.
Doesnt come naturally to me either, but I have people who try to destroy my good work....you just need to ignore it and do it for YOU, as others have said:A:kisses3:

Nutty - dont take it to heart, it may be untidy because of other things that have been going on in the house but - its not dirty!

My aunt, when she was alive would come round and make comments about my house and I really used to let it get to me, but it wasnt dirty. Her house was tidy, cos she was home all day, but it was dirty.... it wasnt actually clean.

I was decluttering lots of stuff yesterday and my neighbour came over - she laughed as Id hauled everything out of one of the kitchen cupboards, trying to tidy it up and fit it all back in neatly (I only have one cupboard in the kitchen for all cups, plates, pots, pans, baking stuff, everything!

Id swapped over the WM and TD loads - so the dry stuff from the TD was on the sofa waiting to be folded and my box files were on the dining table as I was moving onto my filing/shredding after that.

She said to me, you are always busy tidying and cleaning, and it always looks like a flipping bomb went off..... :rotfl:

And she is right - but it was clean!!!! Once the cupboard was sorted, the filing was away and the laundry was away - it was done.

Dont take any notice of a 16 year old BOY! Once you get the bits and bobs done, it will be fine - and he will be griping and whining about something else.

    Hugs pet xx

ETA: Dagnammit! Forgot about Colin Firth!!!!!!!!!!!
