I didn't get far with Thurs and Fri lists due to poorly LO, working Fri and running 5yo's party yesterday. Never mind, new week tomorrow :T:T.

  • Four out of five isn't bad! I've been missing for the last few days - Friday was dress rehearsals for us all, then two performances saturday - went out last night so today has been a "non-day" where i've not felt 100% and slept on and off! But I'm ready for this week - lets see if I can get to 5!

Currently up to page 55 in posts - i'll get to the end before the night is out!

Actually is birthday on Tuesday but had party today so people could come from all over. Had a lovely time with a fab buffet done by dh, in a fab clean house also mainly done by dh. He also put together a photo album of pics of me from days gone by - some of which I had horrendously big permed Kevin Keegan style hair! Everyone has written comments in it, most about the hair and my choice in jumpers throughout the ages. Funniest pressie was a tube of steradent and a pack of tena lady lol!

Have had a lovely time and dh is looking after the kids tonight so I can have a long soak in bath
    Mortgage £119,533 going down slowly
    Emergency fund £1000/£1000
    Savings for big things £9017

Gotnodosh - you were very strong - well done, I know how hard it is to deal with an alcoholic ex especially when you have kiddies by them, so be proud of how well you did today, you stepped up to the mark when he was giving you bull and took none of it and dealt with him accordingly, I could never get over the lies that were told in the vain hope that I was stupid enough to believe them. I'm proud of you.

Its amazing the lies I have been told. Apparently he told his Dad last night that his girlfriend had died!!!

WTG gotnodosh :T:T ... well done for dealing with the situation so well. I hope that the situation will eventually resolve itself.

Unfortunately I think the only way how the situation will resolve itself is if he did something to himself. I don't want that of course but this has been going on for years :(

Well flying wise, I haven't done anything. I asked DD1 to empty the DW but she had to go out instead, Before she went out she coloured her hair and left the bathroom in a mess :mad::mad::mad:!!! It is so frustrating when you try to keep everything nice and clean and it gets all destroyed within minutes!

I used to get told [every saturday night] that he had been hit by a car and that was why he was so late back, I used to wish it was true

Unfortunately I think the only way how the situation will resolve itself is if he did something to himself. I don't want that of course but this has been going on for years :( I used to constantly think that and when he p!sses me off I still do. Wish I had a £ for every time I've wished harm on him

My DD used to do this sort of thing too, when she lived at home (now she does it to her own bathroom and only has herself to cleran up the emss, so things are improving there).

I decided that I couldnt cope with the total frustration of it, but nagging her or asking nicely, or threatening - nothing worked. So I changed the way I looked at it. I decided that bathrooms are for using. Mine was not for show at any rate. If the family was happy using it, then that was the objective achieved. I still got annoyed occasionally when it was left in a mess, but it's funny how less important the mess was when I considered that using the bathroom was why i cleaned it in the first place. IYSWIM

She is in bed later than she should be for a Sunday night but she loves going out with DSD so it's only once in a while. AND she went straight to bed with no moaning (after seeing her star) xx
